Much like with my Hunting Rifle overhaul, I enjoyed the concept of an over-under shotgun in New Vegas but what is in-game is an aesthetic train wreck of a firearm. The barrels seem to be entirely comprised of rust which clashed terribly with the redwood on the gun, a large recoil pad is hastily, and unattractively, duct taped to the end of the stock, the barrels are secured in place by tape and a cable tie, the handguard is cracked, and the screw on the release lever is obscuring the front sight for some reason (you think the owner of the gun would take two seconds to use a screwdriver). I have tried to give the weapon a rustic, wasteland wear to it while still trying to make it look functional.
This mod fixes the cracked handguard, shortens the length of the pistol grip, correctly fitted the recoil pad to the butt of the stock while removing the duct tape, properly inserts the screw, removes the tape and cable tie on the barrels, changes the texture of the barrels so they actually look structurally sound, makes the barrels a bit longer like other over-unders, and evens out the muzzles of the barrels. I've also added a sawed off version that can be obtained with the Cowboy Repeater Maple Stock modification. I've also slightly tweaked the stats to reflect the performance of a properly maintained firearm (slightly increase damage, durability, value, etc.).
