About this mod
Character planning spreadsheet for Fallout New Vegas. Allows special, skill point, tag. skill book, trait, implant, perk and challenge management.
- Permissions and credits
Includes S.P.E.C.I.A.L, implant, TAG!, trait, skill book, level-up perks, companion perks and challenge perks planning.
Also includes damage and DPS calculations for all Energy and Guns weapons.
Planning capability
- S.P.E.C.I.A.L. assignment including trait, implant and perk effects.
- Skill point calculation including Intelligence implant (allows level choice), DLC level cap increases and perk effects.
- Skill point assignment including S.P.E.C.I.A.L., TAG!, skill book, perk and implant effects.
- Most derived statistics based on the information supplied. Also includes possible perk and chem effects.
- Level-up perk assignment with rank and requirement information, also includes DLC perks.
- Companion perk assignment
- Challenge/Special perk assignment. Perks with multiple ranks allow rank to be specified, changing effect.
- Includes Gun Skill and Energy Weapon Skill damage charts based on planned character.
Spreadsheet is provided as an xls for compatibility. Most common spreadsheet programs should be able to open this file.
Caveats
- If you take the Comprehension perk, it is assumed you have not read any skill books prior to that point.
- For the derived statistics and weapon damages, only universal damage increases are considered. Any perks that provide damage or other bonuses against specific creatures e.g. Living Anatomy (bonus damage against humans and ghouls), are not included in calculations.
- Non-permanent S.P.E.C.I.A.L., DT or other bonuses are not considered in calculations.
- Some DPS values may be off by ~1.

V1.1 - Added a tutorial and some basic information to help users get started and understand the planner.
V1.2 - Added sample build to provide a visual example of a complete build. Greatly improved the accuracy of DPS calculation. Added melee weapons to damage charts.
V1.2.1 - Improved implant calculation so it now accurately reflects when Endurance is increased by the Intense Training perk. Minor grammatical corrections.
V1.2.3 - Fixed error in calculations for Energy Weapons and Explosives to properly address Perception as their governing attribute instead of Endurance. Other minor fixes. Thanks to HoMusabi for pointing it out.
V1.2.4 - Fixed numerous errors with regards to SPECIAL level calculations, plus some more minor fixes. Thanks to BloodlustOG for his identification of the problem area.
