So I LOVE the ranger combat armor...however...I HATE that it's tied to the NCR. This makes using it as a primary armor basically impossible due to not having any access to your personal reputation and therefore not being able to ever use any other armor ever again. basically its a whole mess. In response (several years late i should add! x3) I've decided to make a mod to fix this nuisance. Basically it removes the script that changes your faction disguise from the armor making wearing it not do anything at all! :D...however the change I first made modified ALL NCR ranger armor. I've included an additional file for anybody who wants to keep normal NCR ranger combat armor working the way it should, but adds an additional "nondescript Advanced combat armor" in the ranger safe house. I won't be re-texturing it (cause I'm terrible at all that) so it will look the same but it will effectively function without reputation changes!
ALSO for those "lore-whores" out there (sorry lol) I still consider this to be perfectly lore friendly. I like to assume that rangers travel in groups. Therefore seeing a single person alone (or maybe with some odd friends) dressed in this armor shouldn't immediately mean they're an NCR ranger! So ultimately its debatable XD and you could really say one way or the other :P but I'm sticking to my lore beliefs :D (then again wtf do I know? x3 I've only been playing for about 30 hours lol).

Note:in the version containing the single modified ranger outfit I did update repair lists! so be careful reparing it!
Note 2: there is no helmet modifications in this mod. The helmet doesn't affect reputation so i felt no need to modify it in any way.
Lastly! do whatever you want with these mod files. they took all of 10 minutes to get done (boy i love the G.E.C.K.) so i have no personal ties to them. destribute/modify/share/throw at someone i don't care lol however if you do share this mod somewhere i'd grealy appreciate a link back to this page but its not required and i won't say anything if you dont! :D
