Description
Sierra McCann has been hearing strange going-ons from Doc Mitchell's cellar... and she'd like you to investigate! Upon further inspection, the door in the ground behind Doc Mitchell's house proves not be a cellar at all, but the mysterious Vault 10, created by Vault-Tec before the Great War. Enter and explore Vault 10 to find out the secrets of the Vault: who was here, why did Vault-Tec choose them, and why is the place crawling with hostile Powder Gangers? Start the quest labeled "It's A Lonesome Old Vault" and find out! Perfect for the player just starting out, this mod features a fully-built new location and a complete quest. While the mod is ultimately based on the GECK Tutorial provided by Bethesda, the end product provides something different and new, with a more complex quest and a space that has been set up differently from their tutorial. As this is my first mod, I would appreciate it if you'd download and let me know how it works, what you think, and where I can improve!
Planned Features
- Expand Vault 10 and lengthen quest.
- Make Sierra McCann's dialogue voiced.
- Give Powder Gangers dialogue and a branching quest objective to allow for a peaceful option, as per most New Vegas quests.
Known Bugs
- Pistol does not properly appear in Vault Dweller's hand.
- At least on my computer, the rock I'm using to hide a section where the cave and vault door do not match up just doesn't display in-game.
Install/Uninstall
To install, place the .esp file and included folders in your Fallout New Vegas/data folder and then enable it in the launcher, or use the Nexus Mod Manager! To uninstall, reverse the process!
Incompatibilities
This mod is incompatible with A World of Pain, and likely anything else which modifies the house next to Doc Mitchell's or the area behind his house.

- Added a few new decorations to Vault 10.
- Updated and expanded terminal entries in Vault 10.
- Gave Sierra McCann's dialogue animations and tweaked her dialogue slightly.
- Tweaked Sierra McCann-related initial quest objective.
- Moved Doc Mitchell's cellar to a more logical location.
- Gave Doc Mitchell quest-related dialogue cobbled together from existing lines.
- Fixed the lights on the lower level of Vault 10.
- Added Vault 10 Vault Suit.
- Added Vault 10 Vault Door.
- Added wooden planks to Sierra McCann's unusable back door and properly made it a static object.
- Completely redid Vault 10 entry area; hopefully this means that the visual glitch is actually squashed.
- Changed in-game name of quest to "It's A Lonesome Old Vault", to better fit New Vegas's style of naming quests after song titles.
- Redecorated Vault 10 Interior.
- Redid NavMeshes in Vault 10.
- Redid all lights in Vault 10.
- Changed and moved the door into Vault 10.
- Edited Terminal Messages slightly.
- Redid Quest levels.
- Converted boarded up Goodsprings Ranch House (next door to Doc Mitchell's) to McCann Home.
- Added Sierra McCann.
- Gave Sierra McCann preliminary quest-related dialog.
- Made Sierra McCann quest-giver.
