About this mod
A small mod created to fix some of the bugs in New Vegas's challenges and to make them more completionist-friendly.
- Permissions and credits
- Fixing the broken script involving the challenge Demise of the Machines and its awarding of the Machine Head perk, allowing you to get all three levels as intended
- Removing the need to complete certain challenges in order to unlock others (ex. Up Closer needing to be completed in order to start This is Hacking), excluding those that act as a direct continuation of another (ex. Shoot 'Em Up and Shoot 'Em Up Again)
- Setting all challenges to be visible in the Pip-Boy by default, excluding direct continuations
- Setting all challenges to be non-recurring, with the exception of Questin' Mark and Up to the Challenge
- Changing the requirements for the Super Mutant Massacre challenge from 50/150 to 10/30, to better account for the number of hostile Super Mutants present in the game
- Changing the requirements for the At a Loss for Words challenge from 100 to 10 considering the near impossibility of achieving it normally
- Changing the requirements for the Were You Using That? challenge from 200 to 100, the ...Or Are You Just Happy to See Me? challenge from 25 to 15, and the I Can Kill You With One Hand, Nuke it From Orbit, The Rifleman, and the Just Point and Click challenges from 250 to 150, mainly to save time and energy
I've also made similar mods for the DLCs as well, although they only really make changes similar to that of the third and fourth bullet point. Hell, there was only one adjustment made to Lonesome Road and downright nothing that needed changing in Old World Blues. Still, they're there if you need them (Dead Money in particular), and don't even require the base mod to function. Fun!
Have some suggestions? Noticed something I'd missed? Want certain features of the mod changed for your own personal run? Let me know! I'd be happy to polish this up, being my first real mod and everything. If not, I hope you enjoy this and have a fantastic day!
