FORE-NOTE:

Optional Patch for TTW - Hides And Tanning now available! Changes all AVS recipes requiring
Tanned Gecko Hide to instead require D.C. friendly alternatives.

CONTENT:

While playing Tale of Two Wastelands, I started thinking how nice it would be to have more Vault Suit options. Moira made my Armored Vault Suit for me. What if I could make my own?

I thought big, at first, then toned it down to what we have here.

As of 1/2/2020, I've also finally gotten around to making a non-TTW version.
At the moment of releasing this update, only the base mod and the COMBINED
Armor Revamp and Hides and Tanning patch have been converted.

Armor revamp only and Hides and Tanning only patches will follow.

This mod includes 10 new sets of armor, done in a NifSkope fashion:

Leather Armored
Leather Armored, Reinforced
Metal Armored
Metal Armored Reinforced
Combat Armored
Black Combat Armored
Riley's Rangers Armored
Talon Company Armored
Armored Tunnel Snakes Outfit
Armored Utility Jumpsuit

The first 6 come in Vault 101 and Vault 21 variants.
The remaining 4 are Vault 101 Exclusive.

All crafting for this mod is found under the new Workbench tab "Armored Vault Suits."

Version 1.4+ now requires you to have the appropriate vault suit or vault security helmet in your inventory before the recipe will appear in the workbench. This is to avoid cluttering your crafting menus, if you take the Vault Tec Calling! perk.

---

This mod also adds in a new perk: Vault Tec Calling!

This perk allows the player to redistribute the world's vault suits by taking any of the available vault suits, and converting them into either a Vault 101 suit or a Vault 21 suit.
(Example: Vault 34 Jumpsuit converted into a Vault 21 Jumpsuit)

This is so if you, like me, didn't ransack Vault 101 for all the unworn jumpsuits (or the worn ones too if you, uh... emptied Vault 101 on your way out), you can still get more of them. Just convert ones from the other DC Vaults, or even the Mojave ones.

NOTE:
DC and Mojave Vault Suits can be converted into Vault 101 Jumpsuits.
Only Mojave Vault Suits can be converted into Vault 21 Jumpsuits.

Version 1.4+ now requires you to have the appropriate vault suit or vault security helmet in your inventory before the recipe will appear in the workbench. This is to avoid cluttering your crafting menus, if you take the Vault Tec Calling! perk.

---

Armor added by this mod cannot be found out in the world. These are unique to the player. The idea behind this is you, the Lone Wanderer, modified your own suit to your own liking. Moira didn't make this for you. You didn't get this as a quest reward. You made it this yourself.

There's an optional patch that edits the DR and DT of the new armors to better match those found in:

TTW - Armor Revamped by Killerfurball

I'm playing with this mod personally, so I decided to make the original use vanilla stats, and a patch for Revamp stats. That way I could upload this for people who don't use that mod, and for people who do use that mod.

If using MO2, place the Revamp patch BELOW the original mod download. The BSA is only packaged in the main download. The patch is an edited version of the ESP in the main download. MO2 will load the ESP from the patch instead of the ESP from the main download if it's placed BELOW the main download.

If installing manually, or using Vortex, install the main download first, then the Revamp patch, and say yes to overwrites.

SPECIAL THANKS TO:

EPDGaffney - For without whom I wouldn't have been able to realize this mod
Blorb - For without whom I would never have figured out how to make helmets not be sideways

RoyBatty and the TTW team - For letting me relive Fallout 3 without having to fumble around with Windows 10 compatibility issues, or buying the GOG.com version

Obsidian - For Fallout New Vegas
Bethesda - For Fallout 3
Both of the above - For many hours of my wasted time, of which I enjoyed wasting, therefore were not wasted
