About this mod

A beautiful, extensive and detailed rework of the popular Underwater Hideout Modification in Art Deco Style. The aim was to give it the Look & Feel of an apartment in Bioshock's Rapture Metropolis while enhancing coziness and keeping lore friendliness.

“A man chooses, a slave obeys”
― Andrew Ryan

...and as Andrew Ryan chose Rapture, I chose Raptures architectural and interior Art Deco style
to serve as an inspiration for this mod. What I offer you here is an extensive visual rework of the popular
Underwater Hideout Mod used by many people on the nexus already.
As I tried a lot of different player housing mods, I always come back to this Underwater Home Mod
by commander_tak due to its great approaches in interior building with creating the illusion of being underwater
while keepin lore friendliness and offering great sorting and displaying techniques.

Nevertheless, the home always felt somehow empty to me. What you see here is already my third approach of rework
but the only one that I was really satisfied with in a visual and technical way. The idea was to enhance its underwater design approach through using one of the most astonishing and convincing player environments as the central role model for the rework: Rapture with its beautiful and artistic Art Deco Design Elements.

The result is a player home mod which offers great detail, a warm athmosphere and tons of decorative elements and neon lights all in harmony with the idea of an Art Deco Apartment set underwater. As I used a lot of Sierra Madre assets to create the  "Raptureish" Look & Feel, the player home doesn't lose its lore and still feels well connected to the outside world.

With this mod I want to give something back to the Nexus Community as I am a member/user since TESSource times and appreciate all the work you talented guys do here for free!

I hope you will enjoy my mod :)

Before you install this mod you need the original Underwater Home Mod by commander_tak. Download and
install this one first. Everything you need to know about the basic mod and how to obtain the
hideout is explained there as well.

The installation process for my mod is not different from any other mod BUT READ THE IMPORTANT NOTES!!!
To make things easier I extended the "UWHNV-Addon-DLC.esp" with my customization. So just replace
the old "UWHNV-Addon-DLC.esp" by commander_tak with this new version,
copy the attached textures and meshes folder and everything is good to go.

Alternatively use Mod Organizer (which I HIGHLY recommend to everyone) and place this mod beneath the old Hideout Mod.
The Mod Organizer will then pick the correct *.esp for you.

The file was cleaned with FNVEdit after editing.

Please keep in mind that this is only a visual rework of the house mod. No functionality has been changed or added.
As an advantage, this makes the mod highly compatible with the other mods out there that alter the Underwater Hideout like Underwater Hideout Overhaul or the Extended Sorters Mod. As I didn't change the logic or location of the elements that those mods affect they
should (!!!) be compatible with this rework. Nevertheless, I don't use any of those extension mods so I can't tell it for sure at this point.

The companions area hasn't been modified until now as those quarters are already designed to match the respective follower. Furthermore, most of the placed clutter, food, furniture is static but not every single asset. I tried to use as much non-havoked stuff as possible, nevertheless some small items are still movable. If you unintentionally move something, reload a save or perform a 72 hours rest outside of the hideout. That should reset the moved objects.

!!! IMPORTANT IF YOU ALREADY USE THE ORIGINAL HIDEOUT MOD !!!
The mod doesn't alter any of the containers included in the sorting logic from a technical point of view. This should (!!!) ensure, that all of your stuff is still in its place and isn't lost when you already use the standard mod and want to upgrade.
But if you placed some stuff in containers not included in the sorting algortithm or even put them losely in the interiors I highly recommend you to remove those items before installing this mod. In any case its a good idea to perform a clean Install of the mod if you want to make 100% sure you don't lose anything.
If you want to do this, clean the Hideout from all your belongings, create a clean savegame without the Underwater Hideout and start up the Mod again while using the new *.esp provided in this mod.

!!!THIS MOD CAN AND WILL MOST LIKELY CAUSE HUGE FPS DROPS !!!
As I made use of tons of assets in every single interior in combination with extensive lighting the mod is very likely to cause FPS drops.
I can't change anything regarding this as this is due to the Engines limitations and I don't plan to release a "lite" - release of the mod with less clutter, furniture, lights, whatever...My priority was athmosphere and not performance.
Last but not least, please keep in mind that some elements will look different in your game as I am using ENB and Texture Mods.

Please note that this is my very first public mod and I tried my best to provide a consistent and bug free experience.
However, if you encounter any bug let my know in the comments section. I am willing to help with any problem
regarding the mod and fix bugs of course. Please keep in mind that the original Hideout Mod already has
several reported bugs, so make sure any bug you encounter is really caused through my
enhancements and not already embedded within the original mod.
