I'm inspired by fallout fandom wiki about LAER. On 'Behind the scenes' tap, it say like this :
"The name implies a function like modern attempts at making electrolasers which use lasers to create a conductive plasma conduit in the air and then discharge an electrical differential across the conduit. While practical devices do not yet exist, the concept has been proven and the effect on the target is dependent upon the amount of energy delivered. At lower powers the effect would be much like a stun gun and higher energies being more like a bolt of lightning."
I thought it would be cool if LAER has electrical explosion effect. The 'Discharged Electrical Differential'.
+ I added a new concept to LAER.
"The plasma conduit conducted in the air is polarized and aligns itself. This singular condition causes conduit electrode to interfere wave of electrical differential, leading to emit mechanical low-frequency resonance."
(This notion may or may not be scientifically correct. I don't know much about plasma physics.)
This makes sense why LAER's electrical explosion should deal fatigue damage.
So , What have changed?
1. LAER now inflicts Electrical damage.
2. LAER now has Explosion effect.
3. LAER now has fatigue damage.
4. Overall stats has been changed. (you can check image)
First version: you can still download this version from old file tap.
Now it does what it says so. LAER projectile has explosion effect. I call that effect the discharged electrical differential.
- Discharged electrical differential has 14 strike damage / 35 electrocute damage for 1 sec.
- Weapon health : 75 -> 125 (normal one) / 50 -> 100 (Elijah)
- Weapon damage : 65 -> 55 (Both)
- No more disintegration (Both)
- Now deals 7 electrocute damage for 1 sec on shot
- Critical hit deals 21 electrocute damage for 3 sec
