About this mod
Realistic Ballistic Overhaul (RBO) is a major weapon ballistics overhaul that adds the following seven new features. Real-life Bullet Weight, Weapon Spread, Fire Rate, Bullet Velocity, Weapon Weight, Optic Zoom, Barrel Length increasing damage and more! (Now with a much better in terms of compatibility)
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
Bullet Weight: Cartridge weights vary significantly, with HP usually weighing slightly less, AP slightly more, and special types (JHP, Super, etc) varying across quite a bit more to quite a bit less. .22 Long Rifle weighs less while.50 BMG weighs the most coming in at roughly 0.008 to 0.29 respectively.
Real-Life Muzzle Velocities: Bullet velocity varies significantly across the cartridge with .45 acp being among the slowest and 5.56mm by 45mm being the fastest, roughly 870 fps at the slowest to 3280 fps at the fastest. To put this in perspective, it takes a .45 ACP bullet roughly 0.9 seconds to impact a distance of 1000 feet while 5.56mm at 0.3 seconds. Not to mention the bullet has gravity dependent on the weight of the bullet with .50 BMG being the most impacted and 5mm being the least. Shotguns as well you can see 7 to 14 pellets when firing. (Keep in mind you may need to be in slow-mo to see this better depending on the bullet)
Weapon Spread: All weapons vanilla and included with the current patches have a much more realistic weapon spread (you can finally hit someone with a shotgun from afar, depending on what the barrel length is). Automatic weapons like automatic rifles, assault carbines, and light machine guns can hit stuff from 20 meters away without unloading the mag first.
Fire Rate: Automatic Rifles are particularly changed here with selective semi-automatic weapons changed as well, since it is based on real-life RPMs that can lower or increase the rate of fire therefore the DPS is increased as well. One examples of drops is the 9mm Submachine gun which is only 8 shots per sec where it was around 10 shots before. Another gun for example is the automatic rifle which shoots 6 shots per second base game it is now 9.5 shots!
Weapon Weight: Weapons have realistic weights from now on, based on real guns for firearms that exist in real life like the 9mm submachine gun which is based on the grease gun has grease gun weight, or the anti-material rifle which is based on the PGM Hecate II and so forth. Heavy weapons got an overhaul as well so you will likely see hefty weights with Gatling lasers, miniguns, etc.
Optic Zoom: Guns without scopes with no zoom at all (as long as your fov is 75) I know some mods do this but this also includes see-through scopes from mods! So when you attach the scope it will zoom in to a realistic level with the scope you're using. Snipers generally zoom in much further as well, the marksman carbine doesn't zoom in nearly as much as the sniper rifle for example.
New Features from 3.0:
Complete overhaul of how the mod functions, with major mod compatibility that fits in one package. This also includes many other changes, such as hollow point, armor piercing, and other bullet types that are now new projectiles with different ballistics as they are based off a different bullet type. Support for vanilla projectiles is also built-in.
Compatibility includes Frontier, TTW, New Cali, and more!!!
It is recommended to get a recoil mod to balance out the fire rate links as provided:

Keep in mind that caliberx (the resources at least) is required. You do not need the ESMS.
Also, read the article within the articles tab to install caliberx to work with my mod properly, it is a simple 6-step process.
