About this mod

A vanilla friendly clean-up of the Novac Motel player room for a liveable home feel.

The Novac Motel room is a favourite choice of player housing for many, however no matter how many hours pass, the room remains grimy, poorly lit, and lacking in utility. Originally all I wanted to do was drop a campfire outside the motel (the reloading bench and the workbench are accessible elsewhere in Novac), however I ended up with an overhaul of the room instead - as my character progressed, it made no sense for the room to be in such state.

I hope the pictures do justice, however to summarise the changes:

-The radio now works instead of playing static.

-The sound effects have been removed - no longer does it sound as if there's a permanent storm outside, and the looping sounds of the sink and toilet are much less annoying.

-The room now has peaceful ambient music, the same as e.g. Victor's Shack in Goodsprings.

-The window was made wider to more accurately represent how it looks like from the outside. Blinds and a makeshift curtain provide privacy instead of wooden planks nailed into the frame. The exterior of the window is reinforced with makeshift metal bars instead of similar planks found on every other window in the wasteland.

-Large stains found all over the floor have been removed.

-A few more containers allow for realistic storage.

-A well lit bathroom without getting too sanitary for the world of Fallout.

-The bathroom door is less annoying as it now swings open in the other direction.

-Kitchenette featuring a hot plate completes the crafting which can be done in Novac.

-Various clutter added to provide a lived-in feel.

--Installation--

Old World Blues required to be active as the kitchen hot-plate from the DLC is used.

Simply activate the .esp file.

Note that due to an occasional New Vegas engine bug, installing mods which move existing objects (such as this one) on an existing save game might fail to move them if they've been interacted with before. If you find e.g. a fridge stuck half way through the table after installing this, you can select it in console and type in "MoveToEditorPosition 1" which will fix this issue (Requires JIP NVSE to use this command).

--Permissions, etc.--

I don't really mind what you do with this mod - I've made it for my personal use but thought I might as well upload it.
