A handful of traits available with various positive effects to make up for the slowed attack speed. Choose the version you prefer (see images above).
Because I always thought the vanilla attack speed was way too fast, and made melee combats not very satisfying but very confusing. The slower animations work pretty well for both 2-handed and 1-handed weapons.
This mod should be compatible with everything and has no requirements
Custom weapons added by mods should be compatible if they are properly tagged as MeleeWeapons skill (you can check that using the GECK or FNVEdit).
Install with your mod manager or by manually extracting the files into Data folder (make sure to activate the .esp)
