In the vanilla game, members of the Westside Militia all have identical inventories with Leather Armor and Single Shotguns. It's an oddly consistent (and very weak) loadout for what they are.
For the sake of variety, I've decided to make some changes to them so they look more like a militia of people using what they can get their hands on. They'll have different guns and armors -- some good, some not so much. But they'll be less samey. Also, they now level with the player to a point -- half your level until they reach level 15, where it caps off.
I've made a Spice of Life version for other users of that mod, which will further enhance their variety. Spice of Life already changed them to use gloves, backpacks, ponchos, and headgear, but not actual body armor. The SoL version grants them access to SoL's armors (but removes ponchos as a possibility, since they clip into many of their new potential armors).
And yup, I know at least one similar mod exists, but I thought it was way too generous by giving them late-game weapons such as the Riot Shotgun.
Special thanks to Nivea for her Spice of Life mod and generous permissions regarding patches and additions. Fiend armor mod pictured can be found here.
