This mod replaces the model used by the following weapons in TTW : Sawed-Off Shotgun ( DC ), Sawed-Off Shotgun ( Mojave ), The Kneecapper, Big Boomer

This mod improved the model of all double-barrel shotgun that is present in Tales of Two Wasteland. I always hated the vanilla models for the Sawed-Off Shotgun ( in FO3 or in FNV ), so I tried my best to make them decent-looking. Since TTW makes a distinction between the guns found in the Mojave and in DC, I decided to make them visually distinct too. More variety never hurt, right ? Here's what I changed and why I changed it :
Sawed-Off Shotgun ( DC )
The handguard and the grip BOTH uses the Combat Shotgun textures, so that there isn't a color discrepancy on the woods anymore. The body and the barrels are from the Point Lookout shotgun, using the DC Sawed-Off Textures. The front post of the iron sights has been removed because it's a SAWED-OFF SHOTGUN. I added a tooth hanging from under the triggers and an attach point to the end of the pistol grip, as was envisioned by the late Adam Adamowicz in the concept arts of Fallout 3.
The Kneecapper
The pistol grip goes "inside" the body, like it's often the case with real DB Shotguns. I also added exposed hammers ( they don't move. Sorry ) from the Lonesome Road flare gun and a steel guard to add some style. It uses textures from the Point Lookout DB Shotgun and the woods are mapped to use the Caravan Shotgun textures, so the gun will benefit anything that retextures those guns.
Sawed-Off Shotgun ( Mojave )
It uses the Lock Stock models from micalov with Millenia's Sawed-Off Shotgun Retexture. I shortened the barrel, removed the front post and remodeled the grip to be held like a pistol, like it's the case in vanilla. Why is it so clean and sleek looking ? I figured, contrary to DC's cobbled together shotgun, this one is probably made and designed by Gun Runners, as opposed to an improvised weapon.
Big Boomer
Also uses the Lock Stock models from micalov with Millenia's Sawed-Off Shotgun Retexture. I kept the barrels as is and also kept the front post. I just added a "Big Boomer" sticker to the foregrip, like was the case in vanilla.
Double Barrel Shotgun ( Point Lookout )
Like the Kneecapper, the stock goes "inside" the body. The stock is the Caravan Shotgun stock, and the foregrip is mapped to use its textures too. Since it's a swampfolk redneck weapon, I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a poorly-maintained aesthetic. HOWEVER, if you equip the gun with the Marple Stock weapon mod introduced in TTW, it'll have its original stock back, and the thing used to stick the barrels together will be gone, giving the gun a sleeker, redneck-free look ! The Marple Stock uses the textures from the clean Operation Anchorage Alloy Steel Combat Shotgun, and as such will benefit from any retextures. The Turkey Chokes mod for the gun is also compatible.
F.A.Q :
Will you make a Vanilla Fallout New Vegas version ?
Since it would only affect 2 guns, I don't see the use... If you really want to, use this instead, it's almost the exact same thing.
Will you release those guns as standalone weapons ?
Some of them yeah. I'm working on a standalone pack for FNV, so you TTW avoiders will have some of my toys to play with.
What mod do you recommend ?
ChristopherWallace's Weapon Enhancement Pack for Fallout 3, along with Heaven3xx3's WTH - Weapon Textures from Heaven contains compatible textures, so feel free to use them with this mod to improve my gun's look !
hitman47101's Hit animation set for the Sawed-Off Shotguns is also fully compatible. And if you also want the DC Sawed-Off Shotgun as well as the Kneecapper to use the new anims, you may want to check out my TTW Patch for the Hit Animation sets
( All models are patched out-of-the-box to be compatible with Iron Sights recoil animations )
