1. This is my very first mod that I made, so if it needs improvement let me know.
2. Yes, Dogmeat is overpowered on purpose. Since I don't know how to create perks, I just made him overpowered so that way the player (you) can have an advantage traveling with him.
3. Updating may take me from 1-3 weeks, since I am new to modding, and because I have a very busy life. So updates will not be my first priority, but I will try to update it when needed.
4. This mod is marked as "Not lore-friendly content", because the Courier is (very likely) not (canonically) the Lone Wanderer from Fallout 3. Also the Courier is never mentioned having a dog from any official sources. However feel free to make up a story in your head as to why the Courier has a dog.
5. What are the plans for the future? I don't know, I want to get better at modding, and make a version where the player helps Dogmeat or unlocks him. Maybe create a perk for traveling with Dogmeat. Maybe fix up some of the dialogue with Dogmeat. Hopefully I can create endgame slides describing the Courier and Dogmeat after Hover Dam.
6. Why did I make this mod? Well because I went on to the mod page and didn't see a 'fully working' Dogmeat companion, so I decided to create my own.
7. This may have bugs, so please tell if there are any so I can fix them. I ran the mod for 30 minutes and I had a good experience, but it was only that mod and the vanilla game (not modded [aside from this mod of course]).
8. I hope you enjoy this mod, because it took me 4 weeks to finally get it working.
