About this mod
This mod adds three new craftable light armors to the game, which have a retro-futuristic silvery look and a functional small pistol holster. They are based on a 4K retexture of the Armored Vaultsuit and are built for a custom detailed mesh for the Type10 / Type6M body. The mod also includes a 4K retexture of the default pipboy glove.

Update 1.7
Improved textures. Increased power of the environmental map so it looks good without ENB, as I switched to New Vegas Reloaded.
Update 1.6
Added a non-armored version, which can be crafted or added via console -- HsiaoChingSilverJumpsuit. Minor fixes.
Update 1.5
Forwarded fixes from Vaultgirl's Delight -- The Female Vault Jumpsuit Replacer.
Update 1.4
This update features a detailed and polished new mesh for the suit. The NV Compatibility Skeleton is required for the suit to work properly. Also fixed small issues with the textures. Check out the detail in the fancy renderings in the images section.
Update 1.3
Added environmental mapping to all metal pieces on the suit, so now the shiny metal parts will have reflections during movement and look more realistic & more fancy. This is only possible with the custom mesh version. Also, minor fixes. Happy July 1st!
Update 1.2
This update includes small fixes to the texture and mesh and is recommended for all versions (likely no one but me could see the issues but anyways...; i.e. there were issues with the export of the mesh from blender, which are now fixed). This update also adds a version with a functional holster. That decorative holster on the side was bugging me all the time, and now that I started using blender, I thought making it functional wouldn't take more than a couple of hours. Unsurprisingly, that could not be further away from the truth. One week later, after endless trial and error, I managed to get it to work. I made it with the Silenced .22 Pistol Redux in mind, but it also works well with the .45 pistol (other automatic pistols might have minor clipping). However, revolvers and especially energy pistols are mostly too big for it.
Grab the holster from the optional files and install over the main mod file you are using. The holster is included in the mesh, so it won't be possible to use your own mesh with it.
IMPORTANT In order to use the holster properly, you need to install the One Handed Weapon Holster Replacer which adjusts the position of the pistol holster (it would also work with Armed to the Teeth - Redux but you have to adjust the setting of the pistol holster position).
Update 1.1
This update includes a mesh for the armor, so it should work with any configuration. I have included the Type10 mesh from Gold3nCrusad3r2456789, which is based on the Type6m. It needed a bit of tweaking around the PipBoy arm, but works perfectly now. You can still use only the textures (with vanilla, T3 or T6m for example)--just download the old package that does not include a mesh.
Description & inspiration
Long time Fallout 1 & 2 player, first time to New Vegas. Having to spend two weeks in a hotel room for quarantine, I took my time to install New Vegas and research at length for all the mods out there. At one point I completed all DLC, having hardly done any quests in the actual game, I was already at level 35. I was unsatisfied that after downloading all the cool character customisations, my outfit was so cluttered, not to mention lacking in style, that one could hardly see the character. I was mostly using the Petro Chico armored jumpsuit by legendman, but playing on a retina screen laptop it felt a bit low-res and anyhow lost under all the getup.
So I downloaded some tools and thought I can try and change the stats of the jumpsuit to combine all the gear that I was wearing. Long story short, that started me on a full month journey to creating this Silver Jumpsuit. I wanted to have something that doesn't look like rags and thought of the futuristic suits the ladies were wearing in Logan's Run and in 70s and 80s sci-fi films. I used a silky herringbone-patterned fabric, various fine leathers and roughly brushed metal to achieve this effect.
Specifications
The suit is female only, if worn by a man it would show the default Armored Vaultsuit. You can craft both versions and they look identical, only differing in the characteristics. One is simple light armor--Armored Jumpsuit with no special features, the second one will combine the effects of the gear that I like, as to allow a high level character to play in style. Crafting this version requires a repair skill of 100 and all the other items, the effects of which will be bestowed on the Silver Suit.
Or add them through the console:
Armored Jumpsuit -- HsiaoChingArmoredJumpsuitSimple -- 03001385
Silver Armored Jumpsuit -- HsiaoChingArmoredJumpsuit -- 03001378
You can repair with Vaulstuits and leather armor.
The textures are 4k and packed with detail so that it also looks perfect in first person view. The suit includes gloves and an HQ retexture of the PipBoy glove. For added detail, I recommend using the uncompressed version.
Installation
/ REFER TO THE UPDATE ABOVE /
This mod contains only textures and will utilise whichever mesh you have installed for the armored vaultsuit. It will work with vanilla, T3 and T6m (and any other mesh that retains the vanilla mesh block structure.) That being said, I have built this texture and tested it extensively with the mesh included in T6M Equipment Replacer by Izumiko. I think it looks best from all I tried and this suit will look best (as in the screenshots) if using it.
There are two options--uncompressed or compressed texture packages--you only need one of them. Install with your mod manager of choice. It does not overwrite files but will change the appearance of your PipBoy glove to the detailed one I made for this mod.
Requirements
One Handed Weapon Holster Replacer & NV Compatibility Skeleton; Old World Blues, Lonesome Road and Classic pack.
Creation process
The suit is based on a combination of the original textures and shehetheir's 4k retextures. I combined elements from these and used AI image upsacalers on other elements. Then, I added detailed material textures, hand painted, cut and stitched, tested endlessly and made it work without using any actual 3d editor. It is my first retexture, save for some swords I did for Morrowind as a kid, so it was a long process of trial and error--a month's worth of free time.

Now that this is released, I can finally get back to actually playing the game, sheesh.
