a replacement for the new game intro which gets you into the action quicker.

the fallout new vegas intro has a big problem, it uses the .bik file format. if you are not familiar with it, .bik is a video format created by RAD game tools, most games from this time period use it.
however, if you go into the game's files, the intro is nearly 345MB in size. this means valuable space lost on smaller drives. this file can replace it.
i've seen the intro many times before so i know the story, so replacing it with a second of white isn't a big deal.
to install it, follow the following steps:
1. download the file.
2. navigate to /game installation folder/data/video
3. you will see a file named FNVIntro.bik. delete the file and copy over the new file.
4. launch your game and try creating a new character. a brief white screen will appear before a loading screen begins.
to revert the change, make sure to keep a backup somewhere and simply replace the changed version with the original.
