This is a very lightweight and simple ENB that only adds basic things such as shadows, better light casting in the dark and at nights, darker nights, and a brighter sun.

Hello everyone.

First and foremost, I'd like to say that ENBs are pretty much useless. I made this ENB for those who really want an ENB with proper non-intrusive settings that compliment the suggested weather and lighting mods. Now here's the thing: I PERSONALLY don't like ENBs for FNV anymore. For whatever reason, the creator of the ENB binaries doesn't want to update the the ENB binaries for New Vegas. It provides many cool changeable settings. Though it's not worth it. Raising the value of one light source to make it BRIGHT might make another light source with the same format EXTREMELY bright. And it's annoying, in my opinion. Many weather, lighting, and indoor lighting mods manually change each values properly. But the biggest issue that ENBs have is that you can't use anti-aliasing. And if you're playing at a high resolution, your game will stutter like a broken robot. Even if you have a NASA computer. It's just how the game operate. Instead, I recommend installing New Vegas Reloaded. I personally only like to have Shadows and Ambient Occulusion enables. Everything else is performance heavy. Reshade is also a good option as it could also allow you to TRULY tailor the look. NVReloaded and Reshade combined could together make visuals A MILLION times better than any ENB. 

But in case you STILL rather use an ENB, then here's the description. This ENB is going to be minimalistic. This ENB has immersion in mind as well. When it comes to ENBs for New Vegas, especially the popular ones, I feel like they have a color scheme that looks unrealistic in my eyes. They all make the game look as if you were wearing sunglasses that made everything the same color. 

EXAMPLES:
--ENB of the Apocalypse makes everything look purplish-grey or brown (desponding on what color option you choose.
--Rudy ENB makes everything look reddish. You're colorblind with this ENB whenever you're not in an interior. 
--Dynamo ENB makes everything look orange etc.

Now, these ENBs are all still pretty good. And THEY ARE MEANT to look the way that they do the same way that Mexican films are meant to be all orange looking. And the same way Fallout 3 was meant to look all green and brown. And the same way that Fallout New Vegas was meant to look all piss yellow. But the issue lies in mainly three things.

First of all, ENBs like ENB of the Apocalypse look cool and rustic, but they can't work with night vision mods. This ENB is strictly for people who like to play FNV, FO3, or TTW in a more rustic-like setting where there's almost NOTHING you can do to combat against the darkness of the night or a lightless cave besides using a flashlight mod or your pip-boy. It's something I don't like about these popular ENBs because I cannot play without nigh-pitch-black nights AND without night vision mods such as Enhanced Vision and Advanced Recon Thermal Nightvision. These two mods also add other types of visions, not just Night Vision, and none of them works with ENB of the Apocalypse and most of the best ENBs on Nexus.

Another thing I have a problem with when it comes to 90% of ENBs is, of course, performance. Having an ENB with a million files that change every little thing and add unrealistic features (such as sun glare) isn't going to work well with FNV if you're also using two of the most vital features that come with ENB (ambient occlusion and detailed shadows). These two, on their own, tax the games of those who don't have powerful or moderate computers. But the one way you could fix that's by making everything else in your ENB practical and lightweight. 

Lastly, many ENBs I install are pretty good, but there many things I find myself changing, such as the level of light emitters that should be casting at night or the saturation or the brightness, etc. I went outside and studied how light and dark things should be, depending on your location. It's IMPOSSIBLE to replicate real life 100% in Fallout New Vegas with ANY ENB. I did my best in installing mods, such as Get Lit (a mod that adds light nodes and sources to items), but even then, there are things like mini light bulbs and lit windows that don't cast any light due to the limitations of the game engine. I combated this by editing the ENB's light emitter section to make those sources not so bright which explains why little-to-no light is being cast. One of the things I kept in mind was the possibility that someone would want to edit my ENB using the editor. Adding crazy shit in the enbseries folder and adding BMP files would hinder people's ability to edit my mod like that. It would make lives more difficult. COMPATIBILITY: This mod is only compatible with about four weather mods:

  • Desert Natural Weathers - NV - TTW - This is the mod I use when I play TTW, and I'm in the Capital Wasteland section/the first half of the TTW experience. This mod has the best weather of almost ANY weather mod for Fallout 3/New Vegas. But this mod was mainly made for New Vegas. I also recommend using Desert Natural Realism Weathers on top of DNW. THERE ARE config files you can fuck around with if you don't like a certain weather. 
  • Altitude - A Vanilla Plus Weather Mod - This would be a second option for me. It's mostly vanilla, but it does change/remove the stupid orange tint the game has. 
  • Clarity - This is EXTREMELY vanilla and doesn't do anything with sky and cloud textures besides getting rid of the orange tint as well as the other tints in other areas in FNV. Fellout is an alternate (there's a FO3-only version on the Fallout 3 Nexus but I don't think there's a TTW version. There is an FNV version) choice if Clarity is too lightweight but the two pretty much do the same thing. 
  • FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting - I would recommend this the least out of all of these weather mods. But out of all of the OTHER weather mods on the nexus, I would recommend this. I would also install the optional files that remove the cloudy weather and I would also manually crank up the sun's power in the ENB config menu. 

I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO SETTLE WITH DESERT NATURAL WEATHERS. I AM EVEN LISTING IT AS A REQUIREMENT!!!OTHER ENBS:If there is one ENB that you should try out, it's Nut ENB 2.0. This is pretty much the only and best high-end but minimalistic ENB on the Nexus for FNV and FO3. Best of all, it's compatible with Adv Recon and Enhanced Vision. 

INSTALLATION:

Go to the ENB Binaries for Fallout 3/New Vegas, and download the latest file. Go to Wrapper Version and copy n' paste D3D9.dll and enbhost.exe and place it in the Fallout New Vegas/Fallout 3 root directory. IF YOU HAVE TALE OF TWO WASTELANDS, place it in the Fallout New Vegas root directory if you've followed 100% of every tutorial out there when it comes to downloading TTW. After you do this, download my file, extract it with 7zip, and drag and drop my contents into your root directory. Once you've done this, you've finished. Test your game and good luck.

6. Simple Interior Lighting Overhaul 
7. Simple Interior Lighting Overhaul TTW Patch
8. Interior Lighting Overhaul (this is a mod you should only install once you have all the quest mods and world space additions you want to have).
