Adds numerous new unique Under Armors to the Recon Under Armor system, with unique textures and new effects. Also adds new Faction Recon Armors for the New Vegas Factions.
These new unique Under Armors can be found randomly on NPCs affected by the Recon Under Armor system. The chances of finding these armors and helmets are controlled by the fUniqueArmorChance and fUniqueHelmetChance variables respectively, found in the Recon Under Armor INI file.
The armors can also be purchased from the Gun Runners, from Knight Torres, and from Knight Durga in Tale of Two Wastelands. Their stock is determined randomly, and will refresh with the rest of their inventory every few days.
The new faction armors can only be found on members of their faction that wear Power Armor. For the NCR and the Enclave, their NPCs in Power Armor and Salvaged Power Armor will wear the new armors. For the Legion and the Boomers, their armors will not appear, unless you are using another mod that adds Power Armor to those factions. The Boomer Recon Armor is designed to match with the color of Air Force Power Armor T-57c.
Features
- Multiple unique Recon Armor sets, automatically distributed to NPCs that can use them
- Unique effects that only work when Under Armor is worn with Power Armor
- New faction armors for those factions not covered by Tale of Two Wastelands
New Effects
There are 3 different categories of effects in the expansion. Effects that work only in Power Armor, effects and that work in and out of Power Armor, and one unique set bonus effect:
Many of these new Under Armors have unique effects that only work when worn under Power Armor. This is specified in the armor's object effect. These special effects also require that the actor has Power Armor Training, and do not work when worn beneath Salvaged Power Armor. If the armor is an Under Helmet, both a Power Armor Torso and Helmet are required.
They also will not work if the armor has no power when using a mod such as Battery Powered Power Armor (or any mod that is compliant with the Fallout 4 Power Armor Features power Auxiliary-Variable).
If an Under Armor does not specify that it only works when wearing Power Armor, then its effect will work regardless of whether Power Armor is worn or not. These effects do not require Power Armor Training or a Powered suit, and will work with Salvaged Power Armor.
The mod features one unique item set. If both of the items specified in each others object effects are worn, the actor will receive the bonuses of both items. This bonus works regardless of whether either piece is worn or not worn underneath Power Armor or Salvaged Power Armor.
