    Would this impact performance?

Wondering the same thing, if it has any kind of impact even.

I've been playing with this mod enabled in my current playthrough and it doesn't seem to have had any sort of impact at all.

I should note my current PC is on the lower end of things performance wise, too.

All I'm noticing is the game getting really dark then really bright on repeat.

It seems this happens only on the initial save game load after you start the game. Immediately reloading the save fixes it for me.
EDIT: this workaround does not work for Desert Weathers, but I see we're dummies who don't see that this is the purpose of this mod. But I also feel it's pointless to use it because it just dims the lighting randomly on and off rather than actually reacting to clouds.
And in the case of Desert Weathers (and Desert Realism Redux), it does this even on sunny weathers when no clouds cover the sun.

Yeah, don't use this mod with Desert Weathers. Vanilla weather looks good, but modded weather creates this problem. But you can use Cloud Upgrade and if you do change it speed to 30, it just works.

I'm confused. This mod says not to use with True Weathers; but True Weathers lists this as recommended under its requirements? EDIT: Reading through the True Weathers comments it seems this is no longer included and the recommended/required list on True Weathers is the correct list.

Thank you for halving the speed. Effect should be more subtle but still tangible now, like cloud shadows are irl.
