Changelogs
Much of the population of New Vegas wears the same hats, armors, and clothing. This mod aims to fix this by adding more clothing/armor variety.

12 headgears and 4 ponchos from Headgear is Important and Lex's Ponchos, now properly integrated and distributed in the game. I've also modified the meshes to reduce clipping and also fit snugly on character heads as much as possible.

Comes with support for B42 Descriptions and Helmet Overlay. A successor to my mod KARPSOL, and an attempt to do something similar to Spice Of Life with open source assets.

Also completely customizable. Known issues: the sports visor has a weird world mesh and the ponchos clip with bulkier clothing/armors. If you don't like those items, you can disable them.

"Armors" in this case refer to the fact that all wearable items are "armors" in New Vegas. All the items in this mod would be considered accessories.

Features

Integration

This mod should work with any mod. It should work with TTW since it uses the same overlapping leveled lists.
  • Armors are distributed to vanilla leveled lists completely using modern scripting methods. This means no conflicts. NPCs from mods like Mojave Raiders will have DVA armors as well.
  • The mod distributes items to generic wastelanders, as well as mercenaries, raiders, Fiends, and more. They are also found as loot in various containers and can be bought from vendors. Some named NPCs will have them too.
  • Support for B42 Descriptions aka Pip-Info if you are really into clothing lore.
  • Support for Helmet Overlay if you are really into helmet overlays.
  • Modified meshes for Simple Hairs if you use that mod, included as an optional file. Warning -- some of the headwear will look extremely thick on any female actor that's not using Simple Hairs.
  • New worldmodels with collisions for everything. Drop or place these items wherever you want.
  • New handmade icons for everything.

Customization

You can turn off any item you don't want in your game via the .ini file included with it.
config\B42Descriptions\DVA - Distributed Variety Armors\DVA-config.ini

Installation

  • Make sure you have all required prerequisites, including JIP LN NVSE and JohnnyGuitar NVSE. If you have Improved Console, make sure it is updated to the latest version.
  • Install the main file.
  • If you have Simple Hairs, install the optional file and make sure it is overwriting the main file.
  • You're done! Take a look at config folder for customization options.
