UPDATE 2: Newer and better version made by mutant mods. It's a lot better than mine, minus the Wojack Thumbnail. I recommend you switch to his and only download this version for comparisons, or to modify for your own needs.
UPDATE: More accurate textures to the classics. Still dark, but that's intentional. Thanks to Gold3nCrusad3r for pointing it out.
Intro:
Hey, I'm back with a new mod. This mod does exactly what it says on the tin, It replaces the old road textures with new ones I made myself. This time without redoing an old idea.
Also, be sure to turn on Archive Invalidation. Otherwise, this mod won't work.
Description:
The idea to do this came to me while prepping up a future mod list by watching Mutant mods Classic fallout mods for New Vegas video. He mentioned that no retexture replaced the road accurately and instead used another retexture pack's road to simulate the classics. Although good in its own right, the retexture didn't hit that itch that the classic roads have, as the road looked very broken and worn, while the classics are clean and even, and don't show many signs of erosion and use. Somehow.
And after some converting and yelling at my editing app, I made the mod you see now.
Known Issues: No Normals maps, so lighting will be off. Also, textures may not blend very well with the landscape, particularly traffic lines. I tried my best, but let me know when it pops up.
