Built upon TTW and only for use with TTW 3.3.3. Lore friendly and restrained visual overhaul of both games NPCs. Visual edit’s only.

This mod is a combined effort from Dracomies - Machienzo - RocketLombax and myself for tying everything together and wrangling the GECK, xEdit and DDS converters.

This mod is fully standalone and requires nothing to work but please make sure you have Bloadfacegenhead set to 0 in your ini files. This is because I have included all the facegen the mod needs and setting that to 1 will force the game to generate it on load which is awful for performance.
No other edits have been done. Only character records are changed and only then limited to visual changes only.

TTW NPC Overhaul is just that. It overhauls every NPC from Fallout 3 and New Vegas including DLCs. Only some named NPCs are edited directly in the plugin to change hair or facial features. The rest have had their facegen re-exported using  EGT edits from BobG123. Please see his mod here for a detailed explanation of what EGTs are and why I have include them here.
This mod uses NVCE as a base for New Vegas with some NVR2 edits overwriting a selection of NPCs.
FO3 is served by FO3R for its edits in most cases.

This mod includes NONE of the external mesh or texture edits from NVR2 or FO3R. It also does not include any of the custom races.
Any NPC that relied on that has been removed or superseded by NVCE edits instead.
There has been one major reason for this. Consistency. I personally find it jarring to see clearly "modded" NPCS next to vanilla ones. This way it should look seamless and natural.

Notable changes:

Joshua Graham - Included in full this Mod. This is the only instance of me using external mesh and texture assets. This is also objectively better than what we got in the vanilla game.

Father Elijah - Uses a custom race from NVCE.

I have personally made tweaks to some characters as well.


I have also made sure on converting the TGA files generated by the GECK that I did not compress them. It’s a common mistake I have seen even experienced mod authors do. It makes faces using the facegen have artifacts and clear banding. It looks very ugly in game.
As of update 3.3.3, TTW is also using uncompressed facegen. They are not using the revised EGT files but you may prefer the original look.
Due to all of the records using vanilla texture paths you are free to use any you wish though and they will be implemented correctly in game.

All records from TTW as of 3.3.3 have been forwarded and the Facegen has been packed into a BSA with a single ESM controlling everything for ease of installation.
