About this mod
Improves the view in the Sierra Madre Suites by adding new transparent windows that allow you to look out and see the casino courtyard below and the mountains beyond.

This aims to make reaching the penthouse floor in Dead Money more of an epiphanic experience by changing the opaque windows in the vanilla game to transparent ones that allow you to see outside to the blood red skies, the ruined casino courtyard and the mountains on the horizon. A quiet moment to stop and reflect on everything you've done to get here before the final confrontation.
No edits were made to the Executive Suites beyond what was necessary to implement this feature, including slightly extending the outer wall which necessitated moving a chair and a few sconces as well as slightly adjusting some water stains, graffiti and light rays. I doubt you would notice if I hadn't told you. I also added some curtains to the large windows for both aesthetics and immersion as it seems silly to imagine that the Starlet Vera wouldn't have curtains in her private suite.
I've wanted something like this for the Sierra Madre ever since the mod Lucky 38 Presidential Suite Strip View Windows was released. Once I went through the process of doing it through trial and error for my previous mod Sierra Madre Penthouse that is.
Install with your Mod Manager of choice. Should be relatively safe to install during a playthrough as long as you aren't loading a save inside the cell NVDLC01Suites when you do so.
This mod may be performance intensive on lower-end systems due to the expanded size of the cell and roombounds I used in order to integrate the exterior. I've also noticed some minor pop-out for parts of the buildings in the distance, but only when using Fog Based Object Culling. I disabled that mod for screenshots.
Fully compatible with other mods which edit the Suites like Masters of the Madre, Sierra Madre Penthouse and Fallout DUST - Expansion Project.
Make sure to at least place this below anything which also edits the NVDLC01Suites cell in your load order, such as YUP.
The mod Sierra Madre Grand Entrance by AgentFuse adds a stunning new courtyard between the Casino's entrance gate and the lobby. This mod uses the level design from it for the view out the windows of the Suites so you'll definitely want this enabled every time you play Dead Money.
BronSolo2323, creator of the Lucky 38 Presidential Suite Strip View Windows mod, for their gracious help learning how to do something like this for myself and for the mesh used for mountain horizon.
NoBarkNoBiteNoonan for taking the mesh for the Suite windows and whipping up re-UV'd versions with fixed meshes set up for transparency so that you could
actually see through them while still retaining the details of the dirty glass texture.
AgentFuse for creating the aforementioned Sierra Madre Grand Entrance mod and allowing permission to use its assets with credit. I made a modified
version of their exterior LOD to serve as the view through the windows of the Suites as there is no more fitting backdrop then this mod's take on the casino's entrance courtyard.
Whaledon for their Sierra Madre Exterior Fixed mesh which AgentFuse's mod uses as a base.
The Viva New Vegas discord server for quality assurance and helping me decide whether to include curtains or not.
Chris Avellone for, you know, writing and directing Dead Money in the first place.
