Rocky Fortune was a short run series with the lead character, who goes by the name of Rocky Fortune but whose real name is Rocko Fortunato, played by Frank Sinatra. Rocky, always ready with a wise remark, seems to be a magnet for trouble, most often with the variety of odd jobs he takes. a young man of several talents constantly in need of employment and who accepts odd jobs from "The Agency." During the course of the series, he would work as a process server, museum tour guide, cabbie, bodyguard, chauffeur, truck driver, social director for a Catskills resort and a carny, in addition to various musical jobs.
Not only does Sinatra lend his iconic voice and, occasionally, even his songs to the character, the jobs, situations and themes that Rocky finds himself in are very reminiscent of miscellaneous quests, particularly for poor characters, with a rough and tumble, Great Depression aesthetic that would feel at home both in the pre and post-war world of Fallout New Vegas.
The series aired as Sinatra’s career was back on the upswing following a slight downturn in the late 1940s and early 1950s. It was a sustaining series without commercial sponsor that ran in a half-hour time slot along with five minutes of NBC News. The resulting stories were fast-paced, full of action, humor, and Frank Sinatra’s snappy dialogue and narration. Rocky Fortune is a surprisingly affable and charming show in no small part due to the massive presence and vocal talent of the well known Frank Sinatra. There is frequently a beautiful woman involved, some good girls, some bad. Rocky was a tough guy who stays just inside of the law but we get an occasional glimpse of a soft heart beneath the hard exterior. Unfortunately, Mr. Sinatra's movie career took precedence over a radio career. The show wascreated by primarily by writers, who had previously collaborated on other radio programs such as X Minus One and Dimension X.
Category: Action/Adventure. Average episode length: 25-30 minutes. Track Number: 25 episodes. Personal Entertainment rating: 4.5/5
This show is clearly pitched around having Sinatra as the lead, and as blatant as it is, it works, very well. The character of Rocky has a certain edge unique to him that isn't really shared in any way by his musical personality, the extreme variety of topics is very fitting and entertaining. There are no particularly wild twists and turns, but in the context of listening to radio while questing, it actually comes out better for the fact. Because of the amusing odd-job stories, Sinatra's vocal delivery, and the consistent format, this is in my opinion one of the best radio show alternatives to musical entertainment during questing, dialog, or other activities where you might not be able to devote your full attention, but are still actively listening to and engaged with your radio.

I do not plan on anything like adding Sinatra lines or intermissions using voice tech. I don't think it would be fitting, nor do I think it would improve the work or the show, regardless of the quality of said voice. Please do not ask or recommend this to be added. You are free to attempt to make addons to my work.
I am open to recommendations for any particularly fitting Sinatra songs, however, I do not think he actually has many, if any, since his image and his character here are basically opposites, and such songs would need to be fairly short regardless.
