IMPORTANT NOTICE!

This mod (and other mod developments of mine regarding Fallout: New Vegas) are now on indefinite hiatus.

Current Events, Natural Disasters, Environmental Factors and Rapidly Declining Health have forced me to put my focus on things of greater importance first and foremost.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and I thank all those who have shown care and support in these troubling times.

My mods will remain up on Nexus, but will not be updated or maintained. I hope for and appreciate your understanding.

[What This Is]

Have you ever looked into what that one Wild Wasteland encounter was referencing, only to find that only the hat is available?
Ever wanted a full outfit to complete the look of a certain famous adventure film series character, just for the fun of it?
Well, here's your chance to outfit yourself that way, and without requiring the Wild Wasteland perk to be taken!
There's also a version that lets you find it with the Wild Wasteland perk involved, if that's more your style.
Lastly, there's a version that allows you to find it in different locations depending on if you have the Wild Wasteland perk or not.
Perhaps even finally, you can tie in the style with fitting armament whether you have HH, GRA, and .45 ACP Revolver mod installed. The plugins for such are completely optional, but also capable of being merged into a Bashed Patch.

[What This Does]

+Adds the "Adventurer's Jacket" to the game, complete with custom textures and models loosely based on the already existing leather jacket from the game's files.
+The Adventurer's Jacket has some decent stats, putting it somewhat on par with the Reinforced Leather Armor and Lightweight Leather Armor. It also buffs the Agility and Endurance stats by +1, and adds a +5 bonus to your Guns stat.

+Adds the "Adventurer's Clothes" outfit, which I'll be honest, while it's a heavily retooled General Oliver outfit, seems to have it's own style and uses, as well.
+This lighter outfit boasts a few nice buffs, including a buff to your Agility and Endurance (+1 each) and a boost to your Speech stat (+5).

+Adds the "Adventurer's Hat" to the game, which is separate from the vanilla "Suave Gambler Hat". While it uses the same model, it uses the fedora model for both male and female characters.
+The Adventurer's Hat has slightly buffed stats as well, putting it on par with the NCR MP Helmet to some degree. It's still counted as a light clothing item though!

+Adds the "Adventurer's Satchel", which serves as a sort of "backpack" outfit item. It has custom textures and slightly-custom models as well.
+The Adventurer's Satchel adds +25 to your available carry weight, meaning you can carry 25 more units of stuff. Also seems to increase your Science and Survival skills somewhat, both by +5. Lastly, it does have a catch: your total AP will be reduced by a modest 5 points while wearing it. This is mostly inspired by another mod that adds backpacks and other outfit items.

+Adds the "Adventurer's Glasses", which are simply a gold-rimmed pair of reading glasses.
+Not much special here, but they do look nice, and work like other glasses.

+Adds the "Adventurer's Suitcase" somewhere out there in the wasteland. It contains the aforementioned outfit items, a .44 Magnum Revolver with a decent stock of ammo, and a unique "whip" misc item.

+The Adventurer's Jacket can be repaired with anything in the Leather Armor Repair List.
+The Adventurer's Hat can be repaired with anything in the Pre-War Hat Repair List.
+The Adventurer's Glasses can be repaired like pretty much any other pair of glasses.
+Lastly, the Adventurer's Clothes and Satchel can be patched up with anything in the Clothing Repair List.

+Additionally, there are some new plugins to supplement this mod and another that I've released.
+If you have Honest Hearts and GunRunnersArsenal installed, and feel like picking up a .45 ACP Revolver vaguely similar to the ones used in various adventure films, you can have a unique variant of said revolver added to the Adventurer's Suitcase.
+There is also a No-DLC version for the version of the same kind from the aforementioned mod.
+The plugins are lightweight, and easily mergeable into a Bashed Patch via WryeBash.
+You can find the required Revolver mod for these optional plugins here: .45 ACP Revolver

[Update History]

(6.00)
+Big update. Settled on maintaining just one version of the plugin, makes making patches for the add-on weapon easier on me.
+Added a couple of additional items to the suitcase: a bit of formal-ish attire, and some gold-rimmed reading glasses.
+Added a few new icons for some of the outfit items, mainly the jacket and satchel.
+Tweaked the stats, effects, and a few other details of the various outfit items. Also renamed the "Leather Whip" to "Adventurer's Bullwhip"for naming parity.
+Fixed a glaring texture bug I found on the satchel, which was leaving a visible gap on the mesh. Looks to be fixed now.
+Added a couple of character pre-sets, one male and one female. They're not meant to be exact replicas of the famed adventurer, but they are inspired.
+Updated the plugins that add the "Adventurer's Revolver" to the suitcase to work with the updated main (and only) plugin.
+My apologies if you were one of the users of either the JSD or WW versions. They have been retired, due to being too much to maintain.

(5.00)
+Updated the meshes to account for the alpha texture the main jacket parts uses. No more weird black rectangles!
+Updated the normal map on the female outfit's boots, it's now not as overly shiny as it was before.
+Mostly an aesthetic update, no edits to the plugin as this is what I'd call nearly complete now.

(4.51)
+Added optional compatibility patches for the .45 Revolver when using it's newly-released "No-DLC" versions.

(4.50)

+Added additional and completely optional plugins that tie in compatibility with the .45 ACP Revolver I've just released.
+These optional plugins are per-version and add the Unique "Adventurer's Revolver" into the Adventurer's Suitcase containers.
+It's possible to find this relic in the suitcase even after you've cleaned out the suitcase before.
+A major note is that these extra plugins do require Honest Hearts and GunRunnersArsenal to be installed, as well as the aforementioned .45 Revolver mod.
+You can find the mod here: .45 ACP Revolver

(2.50)
+Added a new outfit item, the "Adventurer's Satchel", to the game.
+Added the Adventurer's Satchel to the contents of the suitcase container.
+Did some cleanup on all three variants of the plugin.
+For example, AI cannot acquire the contents of the suitcases, and leftover edits have been cleaned up per plugin as well.

(2.00)
+Added a new updated version lets you find the Adventurer's Suitcase in either location, depending on if you have the Wild Wasteland perk or not.

(1.00)
+Initial Release.
+There's now an additional plugin that lets you find the outfit in it's related Wild Wasteland encounter.

[Conclusion]

It's probably not the greatest mod of all time, but I did have fun working on this project. At the very least, there's literally no copyrighted content included, either.

Consider this a tribute to not only a quirky reference found in the original game of Fallout New Vegas, but also a fun tribute to the legendary "Indiana Jones" mythos in general.

Thank you for reading, enjoy, and have fun!
