About this mod
Changes X-01 PA to look more like classic Advanced Power Armor
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
(Although these aren't technically required, I made them for specific use with the following mods)
- Dragbody/TheHermit's Fallout 4 Power Armor found here or here (Personally I use the compatibility version for NV, so keep in mind the mod was made for that)
- Titans of the New West 2.0
--FOR TTW--
- Dragbody/TheHermit's Fallout 4 Power Armor Standard Version (Not required, but I now use it rather than Compatibility Version)
- Fallout 4 Power armors for TTW 2022 - Titans of the New West 2.1 Patch - Used to get Standard Version working correctly
- Titans of the New West 2.0 - As far as I know, not technically required but recommended
--CREDITS--
- Obviously Bethesda/Obsidian Entertainment
- Dragbody for the original Fallout 4 PA mod
- The Hermit for his edits to the Fallout 4 PA mod
- Woooombat for Titans of the new West 2.0 and the APA/Remnants PA parts of the model(s)
- assultdragon for the original PA Frame texture before my edits
- Whoever made the retexture of the APA/Remnants PA parts before I edited them (I only made the under-bits tan like they were in Fallout 2 (at least for APA). I grabbed the textures about a year ago, but don't remember where from or who the original creator is. You don't even see my edits anyways.)
- 3nikhey for the CAPA parts
- I believe VashtorrMKXII for the backport of the CAPA parts (I hope I actually found him, if not, well...I tried.)
- Me for putting the models together in Nifscope (as in copying/scaling parts from other models into one set), editing the textures to my liking, and adding glowing parts to optional CAPA parts.
This wouldn't be possible for me to have done if not for these creators.
--NOTES--
- TTW may not be perfect, but it works.
- I am probably not even on beginner levels when it comes to modding. It took me forever to figure out how to put the models I did together and move/scale them in Nifscope.
- The Remnant's Tesla PA isn't the best. This falls back to my limited skills at modding. The way the tesla coils would've copied over from TotNW's Remnant's Tesla PA would've resulted in floating parts, so I did what I could with the coils from the Fallout 4 PA's Tesla X-01.
- I do not take 100% credit. All I did was change textures a little bit and put already-made models together. See credits for more details.
- The normals and such for the FO4 parts aren't a 100% match for the TotNW parts. You may see it more in different lighting than others.
- The models used in the displays in the Remnants Bunker scaling is off. That is because the original FO4 PA mod wasn't made for TotNW, so the displays have normal body proportions. I had to use an older version of the displays to get them to match with just my modding skill. Just don't be picky, and you'll be fine. Personally, it doesn't bother me that much.
- There may be some clipping. Again, I'm not the best Modder, but I tried my best to make it fit together.
- Optional cAPA Tesla Helmet has the teslas fitted to it the best I could as I could not remove the tubes to place them properly. So, I have them in front of the tubes. In my opinion, removing those tubes for the teslas never made sense.
- Optional cAPA Tesla torso uses the same coils as the others. The teslas made for it weren't backported as of right now, so I did what I could how I could.
- Optional cAPA Torso has some issues. There are some parts tied to the wrong bones, but I do not know how to fix that. It's not super unbearable but I would like to point that out before people want me to fix it. I'm not knocking Vashtorr's work (I definitely couldn't do any better) I'm just letting you know.
- The cAPA one will not become the main file. "My" version has grown on me and in my opinion, it better fits the classic proportions. However, this is my opinion, and you can use and like whatever you want.
