About this mod

Adds Sunny Smiles a fully functional companion with working companion wheel and Cheyenne follow toggle.
She can be recruited after Ghost Town Gunfight and should be found in the Prospector's Saloon behind the pool table.

Includes an optional mannequin Race edit and JIP Icon.

New update includes a quick fix for Sunny not going anywhere after the completion of the bottle shoot tutorial mission courtesy of This mod's author.
If you end the tutorial there and then, Sunny will remain there at first as the quest is not completed yet. You need to speak to Trudy and the quest will end. At this point the fix will kick in and she will return the the saloon.

I have also added a dialogue option to move her home marker for those not using JIP CCC. Refer to mod features.

Sunny Smiles is a character the courier (or lone wanderer for those of us TTW players) meets early on in Goodsprings and is the tutorial giver. Unfortunately Sunny is too committed to her home town to join us. That changes today!

This mod adds Sunny Smiles as a fully functional companion with a working dialogue wheel and a romance quest (it is very short and involves visiting one location where she confesses her feelings. I experimented, it's my first quest). This then opens up additional follower dialogue options within the original lines. All the dialogue added for and by the quest was produced on ElevenLabs.

The quest is called Always Sunny in Philly and will begin when you speak to Sunny after recruiting her. The steps are as follows, for those who wish to know:
The top dialogue option is typically the "good" option which progresses the quest as disagreeing with her at any point will fail it.

- Once Sunny is hired for the first time, she will express interest to see the war memorial in boulder city. This will start the quest.
- If you say no, the quest will fail.
- If you say yes, it will progress
- Travel to the Memorial and stand in front of it, there you will be prompted to speak to Sunny who will then "confess".
- Agreeing will progress the quest
- Picking the oblivious option will fail the quest
- It then teleports you back to the house in Goodsprings where you will be prompted to speak to her once more.
- Agree with Sunny, boom quest is over and you guys are a thing
- Say you aren't interested in more and the quest will fail and you will continue being formal-casual to each other.

The follower is feature complete and no further updates are planned unless I find something that needs fixing.

At this point I'm just running through a list of followers that I feel might be cool, TTW and NV, be it requested or not. 

MOD FEATURES

- She will follow the player just like a normal companion anywhere you go. Cheyenne follows Sunny. This is the default game setting. You can toggle Cheyenne on and off by speaking to Sunny.

- She can wait, be dismissed (Including to L38), traded with and have her tactics be changed. Her companion wheel is also working.

- She has a companion perk (Always Sunny) which gives + 10 guns and + 15 survival

- She has Idle Chatter tied to a timer so you should expect a line once every 20 or so minutes.

- She has a dialogue option which moves her home sandbox marker for those who do not use JIP CCC. As per request from DoubleJKO.

- She uses lines produced on ElevenLabs. I found a similar sounding voice, however, some may not sound identical. This is unfortunately the best option we have at the moment.

- She has a very simple romance quest which adds additional lines if completed. Not doing it just means she won't use the additional "girlfriend" voicelines. A small fade to black repeatable interaction was added. Enter her Goodsprings home or the Lucky 38 room to trigger the line "Want to get a room".

DISCLAIMER:
One user had an issue where Sunny would not follow and would constantly return to Goodsprings. Although the exact cause was not determined, the user suspects that it may be because he changed the NPC's appearance directly in the GECK. Regardless of the issue, this was fixed by loading the mod last in your load order. 

This is usually also indicative of some mod overwriting Sunny's AI packages, so just make sure of this.

Therefore, if Sunny keeps returning to Good Springs, it may be worth considering moving this mod to the bottom of your load order.

A patch for this follower is included in that mod's optional files. Get that if you want to use that mod with this one.
I have also released a standalone Mannequin race editor for the companion. Refer to main files. Only download one main file.


KNOWN ISSUES:
If you end the tutorial after shooting the bottles, Sunny will remain outside at that spot and will not move to the saloon or travel around Goodsprings.
This is, however, an inconsequential and temporary issue. If the Ghost Town Gunfight quest is initiated and get to the point where you speak to Ringo to initiate the Powder Ganger fight, Sunny will be "fixed" and will continue as normal and will return to the Saloon where she can now be hired.
    Fixed.
