About this mod

Making it easy to use WEP textures in TTW.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
This gives you HD textures for weapon mods that match WEP, my favourite weapon retexture packs. I'm trying to make using WEP with TTW as simple as possible so I shall be offering small packs that include everything you need, plus instructions. Unfortunately I am unable to contact ChristopherWallace so can't upload any of his work here, this means even simple recolours for certain mods are not possible.

1 Assault Rifles

Pack one covers all versions of the Assault Rifle, Chinese Assault Rifle, and unique Wanda. All weapon mod textures have been remade to match quality and style. Wanda has also received a complete makeover. New environment maps that were missing are included.

2 Combat Shotgun

Here I ran into the first small issue, there is a black part underneath where the front sight goes that is a problem when you equip the reflex sight mod. You must remove this from the 1st and 3rd person texture yourself (see screenshot) or it will look odd, literally a few seconds work with a free program like Gimp. All mod textures have been remade including refurbished parts, this involved making the whole thing from scratch instead of simply uploading a desaturated copy.

3 Service Rifle and Assault Carbine

Another weapon that TTW requires a full retexture for a mod, the Assault Carbine. My file includes the Service Rifle reflex sight, plus a high quality environment map and folder structure for the receiver upgrade of the Carbine. Unzip my mod and navigate to textures/nvdlc05/weapons/2handautomatic then open up 1stpersonassualtcarbine.dds from Weapon Enhancement Pack - NV with your texture editing program. Textures in this pack are stupidly big so you will need to resize them to 2k. Desaturate and slightly darken the texture then export it as the 1st person texture in my file. I would export as dxt5 to avoid artifacts and be aware that this uses the same normal map as the base version. Resize the texture again to half the current size and export as the other texture in the same folder. Cathedral Assets Optimizer can be helpful.

4 Double Barrel Shotgun

This is for the Point Lookout shotty, it contains the maple stock and missing environment maps. The choke uses the base weapon textures so I can't edit that, and it really requires the Combat Shotgun to also be installed as the stock uses that normal map. The mesh has a few problems with UV layout but you probably won't notice.

5 Cowboy Repeater

All the environment maps to match the lovely textures.

6 Plasma

Plasma Pistol and Rifle plus all mods and uniques, A3-21's rifle, Q-35 Matter Modulator, and MPLX Novasurge.
Installation requires recolouring several textures, don't worry, I've made some overlays to make it easy. Step 1 is to get all your WEP plasma rifle and pistol textures ready, make sure 3rd person versions are half size of 1st person, open the base rifle and pistol textures with Gimp 1stpersonplasmapistol, 1stpersonplasmarifle01 and 02 . Next unzip my file and move the overlay folder to your desktop, the overlays are named the same as the textures they will replace and it should be obvious what texture they should be applied to. Open all the overlays with Gimp then copy paste to the relevant base texture, set mode to HSL Color under layers tab (or photoshop equivalent) then merge layers and export as the name of the overlay. Use dxt1 for rifle and dxt5 for pistol textures with generate mipmaps, then resize each one to 1024 pixels and export again with 1STPERSON removed from the name. Note in my file there are bright yellow textures which should all get overwritten. Last thing, do not install energy cell textures unless you know how to set them up correctly, extracting all TTW textures to a modding folder can help you understand file structure.
