About this mod
This is a resource with several texture libraries that were used by the original developers at Bethesda and Obsidian to create the textures seen in Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, and also includes research into other source textures and references used, but couldn't be included due to permissions

This is a resource library, that basically started with me taking a bunch of older texture libraries and searching through to find those that have been used in Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. Some of these libraries were hosted for free and no longer available, others were for sale (not included here, for obvious reasons). These free libraries with open permissions are included and provided for free, in accordance with the original permissions included with the texture libraries.
These Libraries are:
Jeremy Engleman's Photography
Originally available for free with open permissions on his website, these links / sites are no longer active, but here is a snapshot from the early 2000's

This library includes obvious sources / references like this:

I will be including Sets 1-3, and am also planning on purchasing his actual paid material packs that are still available on Amazon (which are not included here or in his free resources) Here is what was listed when these were originally available, and I am reaching out to him as well

Michal Franc
The next library is from Michal Franc, and his textures have been used in numerous games, and are still available on his website here: MichalFranc.com
(Go to the Texture Library link). These are listed as a free resource (Updated January 2010 - Removed all ads - now is library realy free, without any ads!), with open permissions and no restrictions on the reuse of the images (listed in 2008: Copyright notice: I have tried to choose all texture that are available on the Internet for free)- from his original website. Due to them being free online, I am including some of them here as a package and also reaching out to Michal Franc to make sure that this is okay.
Here is an example of Michal Franc's textures being used in Fallout 3/ Fallout New Vegas:

The following libraries are used, but I am still working on obtaining permissions for them, so they will probably not be posted here:
CGTextures.com
Now known as Textures.com (and way more costly / paid for), In the 2000s and 2010s, Textures.com was known as CGTextures, and it was a go-to resource for digital artists, 3D modelers, and designers. It provided a massive library of high-quality photographic textures that could be used in various creative projects, including 3D modeling, game design, architecture, and visual effects. The site categorized textures into different types, like bricks, fabrics, metals, nature, and more, making it easy to find what you needed. While the core idea was similar to what Textures.com became later, CGTextures had a simpler, more utilitarian design, reflecting the early internet's aesthetic. The business model was also consistent, offering free downloads with daily limits and premium subscriptions for those needing higher resolutions or larger download limits. In 2014, the site rebranded to Textures.com to better reflect its broader appeal.
Example from Honest Hearts:

Marlin Studio's Textures
- Marlin Studios - Seamless Textures 2 - Rustic Exterior Surfaces
- Marlin Studios - Seamless Textures 8 - Absolute Metal Surfaces
- Marlin Studios - Amazing Science Fiction Textures
Mayang’s Free Texture Library
(these are free but no longer available, working on the correct files / permissions from the guy before posting)
Total Textures Free Library
available here: Total Textures 19-pack Download Bundle (Download Only) – 3dtotal shop
Pack 19 is used for various damage decals, other parts of the packs are used as well but I haven't documented them
License is:

Some good texture resources, unrelated to FNV:
My Public Domain Texture Resource Found Here
A collection of various categories of decals and textures, a WIP that is currently at

Fuzzimo.com
Mainly decal / transparent pieces that are high quality. Denim, Leather, and Paper are some of the things found in here, you will probably have to use wayback machine and past archived versions of the website to get the links to work, at least I had too.

3dmd.net
Large texture library with some seamless options as well, this may also have textures used in FNV, still looking

3djungle.net
Same as the above, I just like it less
