What RPG is complete without a fishing minigame? This mod adds a fishing mechanic, and features revolving it.

The aquatic form of hunting, otherwise known as fishing, now exists within the video game Fallout: New Vegas!
This mod features several questlines, accurate aquatic life for the area (and some not so accurate), a drivable raft and customizable fishing rods. Oh and fishing, of course.
Word of warning though, the mod is currently not in a finalized state and needs more development. It's functional but if you try to break it, it probably will. NPCs aren't voiced and the new location doesn't have any quests tied to it. I'm releasing it in this state because of a lack of motivation and skill.
The biggest thing I can not solve myself is making custom animations for the fishing rods. Please reach out if you can help.

Things that the mod features and things I would like to implement.
Stuff that's in:
- Core Fishing Minigame.
- Several fishing poles with customization for rods and bobbers.
- 8 Different Fish Models + Several Rare Fish Models.
- Corresponding Food Models for the fish, both raw and cooked.
- Several "Junk Catch" Models.
- 4 Bait Variants/Models.
- A Gutting Knife with 2 variants. (just a regular weapon)
- Ice Cream.
- Themed Hats.
- Drivable Raft.
- Intro Quest.
- Rare Fish Quest.
- Callville Bay Transformation tied to Fishing Progression.
- New Location on the eastern half of Lake Mead.
- Other small props and easter eggs.
Stuff that needs adding/fixing:
- Need to make a fishing line that connects rod and bobber together. (All my attempts have either broken or unsatisfying results)
- Need new animations specifically for Fishing Rods. (I'm not familiar enough with the process to make them)
- Need to add sounds to the fishing rods.
- I Want to make a fishing quest related to the new location. (Fishing Contest, probably)
- Need to record and add voice acting to the NPCs that need it.
- Numbers balancing.
- Make the mod load faster so casting instantly upon load won't break the mod.
- Fix "Releasing" the satchel breaking the script.
Stuff that would be neat to add:
- Might want to improve and build upon the actual fishing minigame. Currently it is a bare bones World of Warcraft style fishing game.
- Improved Casting. Adding a "charge" mechanic that makes bobber fly further might be cool.
- Fishing Style variation. Using a lure and gradually reeling the line in for a catch might be fun.
- Would like to have more fishing themed gear like armor, hats or bags.
- Would like to make more RP friendly cooking recipes involving the fish.
- Might want to refine the fishing stats mechanic, maybe add Metric units as a toggle.
- Fishing related perks, maybe even a fishing skill system.
- Redo fish models as current ones are based on Skykappas models from ~2010.

Where do I start my fishing career?
The main questline starts at a new NPC in the Aerotech courtyard. If he dies for some reason,
there is a new basement underneath the Callville Bay fishing shack.
Fishing is too slow!
There is a file called SAFishing.ini in your Data\Config\ folder which allows you to tweak some settings like bite rate.
A mechanic in the mod is broken!
Report it and I'll see if I can solve it some day. This mod is currently unfinished, but I don't have the motivation nor the skill to fully complete it.
Is the mod compatible with X?
The mod should be compatible with most things, except any Callville Bay overhauls.
I do also recommend any mods that opens up and expands the eastern side of Lake Mead, such as Nova Arizona. I might make a patch/version for it.
In custom worldspaces, such as TTWs Point Lookout for example, you might need to add a custom value in the Config\SAFishing.ini file. The JIP water height detection function isn't working like expected and returns the wrong value if the water Z level is negative.
I think the mod would be better with Y.
By all means give me suggestions to what you think might be good to add. I can't guarantee it will be added though.
