    IIRC even Fallout 4 uses the Honest Hearts system for rain. Bravo on your implementation! Is it part of a larger mod, or standalone?

      Most games do.

      The reality of the situation is that "faker" methods of rain effects often look more believable or at least pleasing to the eye.

      appreciate it! most games use particles for rain, including honest hearts, and including this, but the problem with the honest hearts rain is that when you look up or down the raindrops turn to face the camera, so it looks like they're falling sideways. once you notice it you cant unsee it, at least I couldn't. this effect is a lot closer to modern games because the particles don't turn to face the camera

      the rain is just standalone, I'm gonna release it soon
