About this video

Version 1.3 of Healthy Communication - Stimpak Reactions for Slighted Companions now includes custom healing responses for Joshua Graham of Honest Hearts, Christine of Dead Money, and Ulysses of Lonesome Road. It also re-implements previously unused Doctor Bag responses for Cass, Arcade, Boone, Lily, Raul, Veronica, Follows-Chalk, Waking-Cloud, Christine, Dog, God, and Dean Domino to use when using a Stimpak.

Didn't expect to write out the descriptive details in the emergency room, but I suppose there's a first time for everything. :D

Thank you for that, that's so kind! It wasn't me, though--it was my grandfather who was the actual patient.

He fell down at the memory care facility he's been staying in for the last couple of months--we lost my grandmother in November. For a place with as many cameras as the facility has, nobody found him in the hallway for hours.

He broke his hand, has severe bruising, a fracture, and anemia. The doctor who finally examined him said that he appeared to have fallen twice, since the breakage of his hand was older than that of his other injuries. To top it all, the memory care facility didn't send him with ANY information whatsoever, so the hospital didn't actually know who he was (and since my grandfather has dementia, that could hardly have helped matters), and had no idea if he even had any family to contact. We were lucky we found out at all.

Anyway, he's moving in with me today. I don't exactly have the most supportive or mentally stable family, so it shouldn't surprise me that my distraught aunt has decided to schedule her third vacation of the year (she's torn between going to Flordia or Italy this time) rather than help out. To put it kindly, my mother and I are beyond frazzled with the situation.

Damn, that’s a helluva situation. Hope everything calms down soon and you gave the care staff a good bollocking!

It’s good of you and your mum to look after him, at least. I’m sure your grandmother would be proud :)

Oh, believe me, we absolutely would--if the staff could ever actually be found at their stations. I've never before seen so many "professional caregivers" lurking in corners with their eyes glued to their phones, texting incessantly.

My mother has been a registered nurse for over forty years. You could say she is having a crisis of faith--she's spent the biggest portion of her life caring for her patients, ensuring that they are treated with respect and courtesy, but when it came time for her own parents to be cared for... Well, I think you understand.

Sounds like he’ll be better off with you. Some of these places are just scams, I swear to god. My grandad’s 91 this year and he refuses to go into care because of all the horror stories; you just never know what you’re gonna get.

Seems like your mother knows what she’s doing. Wishing you both all the best (I’d add you as a friend on here but it seems that option’s gone for some arcane reason).
