Hey, I just discover that Redmas (a modder here on nexus) has a pak file call HQ space station where it use unrelease models to the station and was wondering if you plan on updating your version of it? I would use Redmas's version but it's not connecting too well with Space Station Revamped mod.
The current version of the vanilla does not contain the model files and any attempts to include vanilla model files in a mod can be removed by Nexus on potential copyright grounds. It has been a thing since the days of FO3 modding and I dunno why I have to spell it out. Other modders willing to risk their Nexus profile doesn't mean I would like to.
I see. I'm guessing everybody is magically suppose to know how things work on Nexus. I don't know what FO3 is and I don't do much modding anyways, all I'm doing is just asking. Seeing that Hello games doesn't even support mods, to me that sounds like modding this game is breaking "copyright" grounds..but, thanks for the reply, have a nice day.
Aww man, this sucks and I just now discover this mod and really love the models of these stations. Seeing that they remove the model files, that must also explain why Space Station Revamp mod isn't working anymore and I love how that mod changes the interiors and then I discover this to change the Exteriors..I'm starting to feel like HG is slowly making the game where we won't be able to use mods at all one day.
To be fair to HG, they've removed currently unused datamined models for years. I don't speculate much but some of them eventually come back when fully implemented
you'll need to get access to a previous version of the game, and I'm not about to post any articles on how to do that because most methods are not legal. As to modding the game in general, try out Modding Basics on Step Mods
alright.unpacked the game & searching in MODELS and TEXTURES folders now and adding all that has TYPEB in it. hope not missing sth :D
Edit: files accidentally got deleted. nvm, im going to play the previous ver of game. old SS looks too bad now after this mod tbh. why should it be illegal? using and editing their assets in their own game for a not monetized personal use ,like every other mod. i'd add it to nexus too if i had it working :/
actually it is not illegal, reusing files that were removed from a game is 100% legal, even in a court of law it is deemed legal and there is nothing the devs can do about it.
While the stations look nothing short of impressive in VR and non-VR, I had to remove the mod. In some stations, I can land - but when I get out of the ship I am like 100m above the hangar and then I die. Does not happen without this mod.
Mod is broken today as of 04/16/2023. It was working all week and last night. Love the mod but I will wait for an update and am in no rush for it to be done as well.
Think an Experimental patch just broke this. Inside of station now not rendered (It looks fine until you get out of the ship). Real danger of falling through the station and losing your save. I always back up my game before messing with mods after an update.
Can't get it to work. If I process the LUA, I just get missing .MBIN errors, like this: [[WARNING]] NMS PAK not found for [MODELS\SPACE\SPACESTATION\SPACESTATIONTYPEB.SCENE.MBIN]. Check your file path/name!
Not really tech enough to do anything other than run the .lua scripts. Still, it was nice while it lasted. Thanks for your time.
Installed Amumss in the normal way I always do. But you're right, no .LUA's are producing .PAK's at all. Keep getting random errors. No idea what's gone wrong. Tried re-installing but doesn't change anything. Even gone back to older versions of AMUMSS. One thing I had noticed is that Vortex insisted I change my deployment folder location, which I did. All the mods work, so I don't see the problem. Ah well, will keep digging. Thanks.
OK. Got it fixed. For some reason Vortex insisted I change my mod staging folder. I used the recommended folder and all seemed well. Lo2k, When you mentioned the NMS_FOLDER.txt, I checked it and it was pointing to the wrong drive/folder. It looks like there was an old Steam Apps folder on my C:/ drive (NMS is on my D:/ drive) and when I ran AMUMSS it found that, which had virtually nothing in it. It had a copy of all my staged mods but the PCBANKS folder was otherwise basically empty. God alone knows how all that happened, but it's fixed now, thanks.
using nucleuscoop to play this split screen with a friend but the program needs an old verison of the game. will this work with older versions of the game??

Awesome for taking screenshots - unfortunately too unreliable for actual gameplay (for now)!
RE-EDIT: Sorry, this does NOT solve the floating in space problem, took a while but it happened.
Also I'm not really that interested in updating this mod cos the interior is never completed from the beginning lol
