For those times when you find yourself surrounded by enemies (or adoring fans), here's my customized version of the Vorpal Blade. For base I use a customized disenchanted version with decreased damage (for higher difficulty) of the one included in Blice Weapons (http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=41541), but any kind of fast shortsword or dagger will do.

~Requirements~
25 Mysticism
10 Restoration
1 x Grand Soul (Azura's Star is highly recommended)
1 x Weapon of choice (A fast shortsword or dagger is recommended)

~Enchantment~
Absorb Health: 15 points in 10 ft for 1 second
Soul Trap: 10 ft for 1 second

Total Uses: 44

Bringing out this weapon while surrounded will be a real tideturner as you will absorb 15 health from every enemy attacking you at a rapid pace. It's best to try to keep mobile while doing so, and avoid using power attacks. The damage of the dagger is highly irrelevant as you will be doing most of the damage through the effect of health absorbtion itself.

As soon as something dies you will have another soul to refill the dagger with, so you can continue to use it until you feel the herd has been trimmed down sufficiently.

For even more devastation and higher survivability, I also recommend using an area touch spell with absorb health over time, or an area touch spell with weakness to magic as soon as you get an opportunity. This way, as long as you stay mobile and on your feet, you will be virtually indestructible.

For instance, if surrounded by 5 trolls, and assuming you get 3 attacks off per second (which is easy with a dagger) you will have a regeneration rate of 225 health per second.
