The Green Road can be a very dangerous place at night.

Silian Delius watched the road intently from his hiding place behind a thick oak tree. Two in the morning, and an imperial patrol had passed by recently, so he knew he'd be safe for a couple more hours. Peering into the darkness, he could make out the silhouette of a figure approaching.

Quietly drawing the silver longsword his father had left behind when he ran away, leaving Silian behind with his heartbroken mother and his hungry siblings, he quickly sprung out in the open, blocking the traveller's path.

"Your money or your life!" he shouted, bringing the stranger to a halt. He smirked to himself when he noticed how much smaller she was than him. In the darkness, her big cloak had made her seem more imposing.

The stranger remained quiet for a moment. "I'm kind of in a hurry." she finally said. "So if you run away now, I won't come after you."

Silian laughed mockingly, eyeing her. She was indeed armed, but her blade looked as thin and frail as her arms. "Oh, that's cute. Are you going to fight me with that toothpick?" The stranger did not answer. She simply drew her rapier, beckoning for him to come at her.

The Green Road can be a very dangerous place at night. And Silian Delius was about to find out just how dangerous.
