Approaching the South Gate of Bruma, Captain Burd smiled at the figure waiting for him by the brazier. "Thank you for coming on such short notice" he said, nodding politely. "It is good to see you again."

Raphaela looked up at the tall nord, returning the nod. "Let's just get to the matter at hand." Burd smiled nervously, feeling himself slightly embarassed at the young woman's bluntness. "I thought it would be good if we could get to know each other better first", he said rubbing his neck. "Though I know you value discretion, perhaps we could stop by Olav's Tap and Tack for a couple of drinks first?"

The young woman just stared at him silently with her cold grey eyes, and he shifted uncomfortably. "I really don't see the need for such formalities" she finally said. "Well, I myself am a bit more old fashioned" Burd said, feeling his cheeks reddening. Raphaela's expression remained unchanged. She seemed so cold to him. Could this really be the same woman who had been sending him all those passionate love-letters for the last weeks?

"Just give me the details of my mission, and I will be on my way" the girl said, impatiently. "'Tis getting cold, and neither the night nor yours truly are getting any younger."

"Mission?" Burd asked confused. "What mission? I thought this was about, you know... The letters we have been sending each other?" he dug into his pockets, handing her the latest letter he had received from her, the scent of Queen of Hearts perfume still lingering on it.

The young breton took the letter, and after briefly reading through it she dropped it in the snow and turned on her heel, heading for the gate - leaving a confused guard captain behind.

She was going to have a serious talk with Vilja when she got back home.
