   I can't say I don't, but there's quite a lot of users who surprisingly (?) get awesome result with vanilla. By no means feel bad about it. It's all in the eye of the beholder - and in creative sensitivity of the author. More often than not grace and beauty comes with slick composition than with visual fireworks.
   That said, if you look around, there are a few useful tools that enhance the look at no cost to performance. Sometimes they're worth considering.

   Although I do use Gimp to modify a lot of my screenies, I try to do it in moderation unless there is a certain look I want to achieve.
