The Acolytes stumbled backwards from the grotesque corpses of their comrades in shock and horror. The Mythic Dawn had a way of creating tight bonds, but none of them feared death, for great was the reward in paradise but the shock factor took them by surprise. The land here had once been fertile farmland, but over years farming had sucked the nutrients out of it... and now their comrades blood was making it fertile again. The smell of blood rose through the air... One of them yelled aloud, and others quickly came running, including the Officer. The Acolytes turned their heads slightly to the Officer, who's fists were clenched in anger as his eyes fell on the corpses. None of the assembled dared to speak and break the night, but remained silent. In the end, the Officer himself was the first to speak
"Find them and destroy them!" He barked, turning and storming off in anger, muttering to himself under his breath. The Acolytes hastily nodded, and the group scattered, giving orders to other members and delivering a message to the Imperial Legion to be on the watch for the criminal. In the end, just two remained in the field to clear the bodies. They just grunted in response to one enough, and busied themselves with the moving and burying rituals of fallen Mythic Dawn members.
