Quick scribble to get used to concepts again after being work-wise abstinent for months. Questionable quality, but the mood goes the right direction. Part of the "ruins of various origin" mentioned in the Niben Wetlands description in the Bethsoft forums UL thread.
Thanks I was bored by the Blackwood Forest area in vanilla Oblivion from start. It is neither swampy nor forest, it just tries to be, and it looks the same all over. The vanilla area with the many small lakes is a great idea (I touched only its margins in order to get a smooth transition). But aside from this, the vanilla Blackwood leaves the impression of being unfinished, as if someone said "No time! Release date and stuff! Just make something!" UL Blackwood Forest gave me the great idea to stick trees into the ground to give them more dense and jungle-like looks (Ubanga does that too, but I didn't know it back then), and the reeds ground texture cries for more use. And there are such wonderful jungly mod resources out there.
Well that is just cool. UL really is an amazing thing, and it's fascinating to think that you modders still develop and extend what was given by the developers in 2006.
Yeah I can recognize that feeling from blackwood, feels unfinshed yeah Sometimes you come across that in games.. funny ambience those places have.. You try to immerse yourself but it really can kill the immersion if something feels not-done-with-heart-or-hard-work-y
Thanks It's my job, so I'm not trying to fish compliments or something, I simply know I should get way less murky stuff done in the time I needed for this. (Quick doesn't mean like ten minutes, unfortunately.)

So.. does it mean there will be new UL regions?
Is UL still undergoing work?!

The idea of overgrown wetlands in the nibenay valley is a good one. Your idea?
