Playing Oblivion the first time on my mom's notebook and it also was the first time installing the game on a Windows 10 machine. The installation of the default game was easy. But not the Shivering Isles one. The DVD won't start because of the SecuRom bug. Eventually, I copied the Shivering Isles files from my Windows 7 netbook manually and it worked. The notebook has some graphical limitations (e.g. no 3.0 shaders, so no HDR). I managed to fake HDR by swapping the used shader package with a copy of the shader package 19. Somehow the ground textures got purple after it. Typing tll in the console fixed it.
Celeste was a "n Dywyl" Elf before. I changed her race to Abyss Demon to test the newest changes to the AbyssDemon race and quest during my holidays. I accidently deleted the copy of the quest esp from my USB drive (I have still backups on my external harddrive and main machine at home). So I can only tinker with the race's esm until I am back at home after New Year.
Happy New Year! :)
Update: It seems that the purple ground texture bug was due to outdated shader packages. After I installed the new ones the ground texture bug was gone. And I also could use HDR trick mentioned above without toggling the LOD off ("tll" toggles LOD).
Update 2: I noticed that some shadow options weren't available as well (they were greyed out). A modified D3D9.dll was the solution.
