Welcome to the group my friend...brand new gpu + blender 2.49 = rip
Let me guess, Blender's UI is ridiculously bright now, there may be flickering here and there, the cursor leaves a trail behind as it moves, the list goes on...there is not much to be done other than trying Blender 2.7.
Is there any way to export Oblivion at least remotely useful with Blender 2.7/2.8? For now I have only the cursor leaving a trail while I use the B tool, but I didn't do much and am scared what else will be fucked up XD
I'm not really doing anything more than cutting off or combining some things here and there, so moving between 2 blender versions just for a cut off belt sounds like the most fun ever.
If it's just the cursor leaving a trail behind, thats more than bearable, like maht said it has been happening since the first drivers for the gtx 9xx series...you'll get used to it, not worth moving to a different version, now if you had the same issue I and a few others had with a completely desaturated and bright UI to the point it made your eyes hurt...had to make a whole new darker blender UI theme, just so it would at least be bearable to look at.
A little late to the party, but might be helpful (or not) Having the same problems with 2.49, but I personally prefer working with blender 2.7 anyways, because there's a lot of stuff that's not in or works better than 2.49. So usually I import what I need in blender 2.49 an then open (and untick "Load UI") or append from the file in 2.7. As far as I know this works without any problem. To get it back to Oblivion, I save with "Legacy mesh format", load with blender 2.49 and export as usual.
Hmm,... for some weird reason it has posted the comment twice. Sorry about that
