Instead, he closed the Oblivion gate and helped drive out the invading Daedra. Finally, they manage to take the city back, but too many lives were lost that day

It's 4 in the morning when he returns to camp, to get a few hours of sleep. The smell of burned flesh still haunts him and it will take a while for his singed fur to grow back.

The battle was won this day, but it did not feel like a victory.
