About this image

I started customizing the Imperial City with textures from various Imperial City texture overhaul mods to make some buildings look different from others. I used Happyerik's IC Medieval mod2 https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/49797 with other textures to make The Temple of The One look unique. The rest of the buildings around it, so far, all use Montegris' Imperial City Retextured: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/46920

I'll share images later of the Elven Gardens district, where I have each block using unique textures. Still trying to get a good image that captures all 4 blocks at once.

Sorry, my friend! I was aiming the kick for your butt instead :P Just kidding!
I just posted this picture yesterday, but I'd last worked on it in 2020. So if you want some help with custom textures for some of your Daggerfall buildings or Hammerfell (I'm not sure which you are working on, maybe both?) I would be happy to prioritize helping with that over this!

      Butts accepted
      They are both here
FL Hammerfell WIP (5.6.0.2) I simply copied the exterior of Daggerfall City to Daggerfall.

My Forts Ruins doesnt look like ruins as long as they are similar to the main ruins Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you to you as well. No rush.
If you take a look at my setup and decide to do some tests tell me and I will give you an instruction.
I have just merged the FL Stronghold Cont 06 and FL Hammerfell WIP (5.6.0.2) into one:
      FL HAMMERFELL WIP (5.6.1.0)
This looks worse than it is but the new file is A OK as it is cleaned with the infamous tool: 'TES4EditQuickAutoClean'
      (My favourite xEdit tool btw).
I will uplooad the latest version 'FL HAMMERFELL WIP (5.6.1.0)' if you like to give it a go :)No sweat.
      :)
      Love you all

I have always wondered why castles, cathedrals, city constructions always have the same textural definition. Only one answer occurred to me: The problem with the designers at Bethesda is that they deliver their games under pressure from users. Fortunately there are some smart modders, like you for example. If you were to release this jewelry as a mod, it would surely be a huge hit.

Yes, I would like to release it as a mod someday and I can only do that because the modders who released these great textures are generous enough to allow people to re-use their work with credit given to them. It's thoughtfulness like that that enables us to more easily continue to make things better and better in Oblivion.

Wow! I am delighted to read this. Good continuity, I'm watching closely.

What a neat idea! And it makes sense, too, that a city as old and cosmopolitan as the Imperial City would have a mixture of architectural styles. Cool stuff!

      Thank you!
That was exactly my thought process! If I get brave I may try editing the meshes a little to see if slight alterations along with the differing textures can make an even bigger impact.
