Hey, never noticed oblivion looking prettier in win7, but i certainly know it runs faster and smoother. This is vital as my pc isn't quite strong enough to handle oblivion with a bazillion mods in it, including the graphics overhauls AND the constant cpu overhead win10 appears to have.
Win7 was also the only OS where i could set up proper 3d spatial audio without a card that actually supports it natively, so that's pretty sick as well! :) Oblivion's audio with proper 3d EAX extensions running is a whole 'nother experience, definitely recommend it.
Oh yeah, also don't forget to increase the dynamic interval\output color depth within nvidia's control panel, it really brings the colors back. Maybe even add some digital vibrance if you think the colors aren't blown up enough, though too much of that makes for some wonky scenes! You can find those options under monitor>change resolution (straight translation as my system is in portuguese)
