Affinity is what they call a force-born. A Mage kidnaps a woman, rapes her and performs many experiments on the woman during her pregnancy. This is to create a superior magical being and almost always results in the woman death. Affinity was on her way to be transferred from one hidden lab to another but she had different plans. A stormy night gave her the chance to escape and Affinity killed her guard and jumped overboard. She washed up ashore later that morning... barely breathing.
