A new poem

The storm will pass for all of us to greet a new day once more....

Clouds of despair hang over the lights within
and tumble together in thunder and confusion

When the light that was held so close does fail
at times even the truth is driven too far away

Such is the hour that the mind tries to control
yet knowing this is time it can never prevail

Let the rain wash down over me with thunder from the sky,
let the wind bring the water sideways to drench me in it's
wake and may the lighting strike so close it reminds me
what it was like to be alive...

My love lingers in a forgotten and empty hall
I miss you dearest of loves my heart and joy

The heart screams if only to break the silence
if for no other reason than a cry of despair

Trodden down and feeling beaten into nothing
it screams again hoping that one shall hear

Pray for the rain to cleanse my hearts wounds and the
thunder set things in motion once again, let the wind bring
the water into my very being to drown my sadness away and
may the lighting strike so near it reminds me how good it
is to love and to live...

I want to live now and not to fall away
it was you brought me back from the brink

If only for one day to feel hope and life
I felt it brighten within the darkness again

Hope that filled me with wonder long forgotten
brought me back to the living world once more


Let it rain down sheets of water and thunder in the distant
sky, let the wind bring the water almost sideways to drench
me in it's wake and let the lighting strike so close it
reminds me how good it is to be alive...

Thanks to all of you for the reminders, my friends, my
loved ones and this great mother earth in all her might,
her gentle majesty and everlasting ever deepening wisdom.

Note: I thought it fitting to be looking at the clouds
tumbling and breaking from in front of the Amelion Tomb.

This was inspired by my friends and loved ones, by
nature and art. Some of it in my life at home and some I've
found here, but all of it held deeply in my heart...
Mostly, it's a thing that's personal, something I wrestle
within. I fear not this constant tussle though, for me it's
all about the processes of learning and growing. The clouds
have breaks in them and they are the great teacher and
healer :)
