Simple, Optimized(TM), ugly meshes to avoid the disappearance of ships when the game render distant objects in the landscape. Little to no performance impact. Requires TES4LODGen to work as intended. For people savvy enough with the CSE there's also this (check the mod comments for more details.)
INSTALLATION:
1. Drop in your game Data folder 2. Run TES4LODGen and check in game :) 3. Run TES4LODGen again every time you make a change in your load order (i.e. when you run BOSS/LOOT, merge plugins in Wrye Bash, remove plugins, etc.)
UPDATE: Technically compatible with RAEVWD or Evenstar's Colourwheel LOD Update if you avoid installing the package "09 Ships" from RAEVWD or package "03 Docks and ships" from Evenstar's LOD Update; otherwise glitches or flickering in the distance are bound to ocurr. If one of those mods is already installed go to <Your Oblivion installation folder\Data\Meshes\Architecture\Ships\> and remove/backup somewhere else these files:
