The Blade of Woe is your first gift from the Dark Brotherhood, and will be with you all the way to the end of the questline. Whoever decided that it should look like every other Ebony Dagger in the game was an idiot, so I went ahead and retextured it to add some Dark Brotherhood flair. I also boosted the weapon's base stats and changed the enchantment slightly, since I have literally never used the thing since Oblivion came out in 2006.
