Replaces meshes for rocks in the overworld/Oblivion/Paradise/Painted World/SI with a blank mesh.  Unless you're using hardware  from 20+ years ago, you really don't need this.  But if you're desperate enough for performance to seriously consider using this anyway, you need to be aware that this mod will cause lots of graphical oddities (floating objects, reveal seams in the landscape, etc.) along with making the landscape feel a lot emptier in general.  If you can live with all that, go ahead and download.

This mod includes hundreds of files that I copied and renamed individually, so it's possible I may have overlooked /misnamed a file or two, so please contact me if you see generic rocks in the overworld/Oblivion/Paradise/Painted World/SI and I'll fix that ASAP--or whenever I feel like it.

Even though this mod lists SI as a requirement, it is not a hard requirement.  Just delete the "Mania," "Dementia," and "Ordered" subfolders if your game does not use SI; it won't hurt to leave the subfolders intact, but it'll make your meshes folder a little less cluttered.

Some special rocks (e.g., traps) are NOT included in this mod.

It's highly recommended you install this with some kind of mod manager (e.g., MO2, Wrye Bash, or Vortex), but if you MUST install manually:

1. Extract .7z file with 7zip to a temporary location.
2. Copy meshes folder
3. Paste in your Oblivion/Data folder
4. Ya did it!

For manual uninstallation:
1. Go to Oblivion/Data/meshes folder
2. Delete meshes/rocks folder
3. Go to meshes/dungeons/caves
4. Delete crock01.NIF through crock06.NIF
5. Ya did it again!

If you think this mod is too extreme, but are still looking for some extra performance, an alternative you can try is PolyGone.  PolyGone attempts to reduce polygon count on meshes (including rocks) as much as possible without any visible loss of quality.
