I'm absolutely obsessed with Oblivion. Like, to an unhealthy degree. To such a degree that it almost distresses me mentally just to mod it. Not, like, in the same way that I dig through Skyrim mods to add to that festering pile of eleven hundred of the things and hope the damned game doesn't blow up on me, but like, I love Oblivion for being Oblivion. When I play Oblivion, I want it to be the most Oblivion Oblivion can be. And thus, in preparation for hopefully the first modded Oblivion playthrough that I'll actually reach a satisfying conclusion with, I was combing through a mod in xEdit, ripping out all the bits I disagreed with and leaving a mangled husk of an .esp when I came across this page on the UESP.

Tha's crazy! Tha's awesome! Are you kidding? This game was hiding a big chunk of cave? Why are you running away Just hanging out where the player can't get to it? The cut content in this game fills me with a sense of awe, though maybe this doesn't even count as cut content. But it's really cool. And I decided I needed to be able to get there in-game, so I made this.

What does this do?

This mod adds four trapdoors around the cell. Four instead of two because there's a part with a rock trap that locks the player out of a tiny little section for some reason. Oh, the intrigue! Why did they do that??? We may never know...

What's there to do?

Spoiler alert - hang out with slaughterfish! Less spoilery, more of a hint - See Oblivion in a whole new way...

That's it?

That's it.

Compatibility?

Haha, here it is. This isn't necessary if you have the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. The UOP makes a ton of changes to the cell including providing access to the hidden section and therefore the entire point of this mod is lost. This is peak vanilla, so this requires vanilla!.. In the relevant area!.. or just spending the two seconds it takes in TES4Edit to revert the changes.

If it's as easy as placing a few doors, then who is this for?

That one guy who plays the game on a modded PS3 and thus can't use the Construction Set. I don't know who you are, I don't know where you are, I don't know if you'll ever see this, one-and-only modded PS3 exclusive Oblivion player, but know that you're in my thoughts. Always.
